It is not generally known that Buddhists are persecuting Christians just as Muslims are.

I'm sure someone else has said it, but fuck it:
The reason it isn't generally known is that it isn't happening.
Funny, that.
It may happen somewhere in the county. But it's largely against the Buddhist creed, and I don't think newlamb is really aware.
He's just venting his persecution complex.
I (wildly) guess he is talking about the officialy Commie People's Republic of China.
In that case, it would warm his heart to hear that the Commies persecute those darn heaten Buddhists even more than Christians.
If I remember correctly, Ngo Din Diem (hope I spelled it right) in South Vietnam at the start of the war was a Catholic who persecuted the Buddhists. Everywhere there are multiple religions, there are religious tensions. It's just that the fundies are such pathetic worms that whenever someone says anything slightly critical to them, they start moaning about persecution.
In case anyone is still reading this, one word for you: Burma. The regime is at least nominally Buddhist and viciously persecutes Christians, along with, of course, anyone, Buddhist or otherwise, who won't fall in line and do as they say.
Christopher is correct. But outside of Myanmar/Burma, not many Buddhists are persecuting Christians. And, even in Iran, neither are many Muslims.
If you want to persecute someone with the help of religion, you can with Buddhism too. Otherwise, most Buddhists are fairly peaceful.
I bet more Buddhists are persecuted by Christians, than the other way around, though.
OK, time to round up for today (it's 10:15 PM over here). When I mix up "as" and "then", grammatically, it's time to call it a day.
Can't blame them with the Christian attitude towards them.
Knowing Fundie logic though, your "persecuting" actually means "won't accept Jesus as their Lord"
It probably happens somewhere, but most Buddhists are peaceful and wouldn't mistreat anybody. A lot of them are vegetarians even cause they don't even want to mistreat animals.
Buddhists are much more likely to be persecuted by Christians then the other way round.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
