Yeah, except evolution has evidence. Creationism? Zip.

the theory of evolution has been proven true multiple times, that's why it's called a theory.
Definitions... you fail at them
9/27/2008 2:36:50 AM
No, we can prove things. You're just an idiot.
9/27/2008 2:38:35 AM
The mountain of evidence for evolution disagrees with you.

No, people who can't think accept everything on faith. They have no choice.

Do I need to quote Matt 5:22?
Umm, there is this awesome book called the dictionary. Couple more excellent books listed under encyclopedia... might want to try cracking them.

Explain to me why you would call something that has no evidence a theory? Wouldnt you just call it a bold faced lie or conjecture?
And if you cant prove anything then why the fuck are you trying to make a point?
9/27/2008 3:39:28 AM
You failed biology class, right?

Of course atheism hasn't evolved.
It means, and has always meant, "I have no belief in a god or gods."
Also, it's not a living creature, so it can't evolve.

Dumb as a bucket of rocks doesn't begin to descibe some of the posters on there.
What's really scary they're proud to be so ignorant and stupid.
Ignorance can be educated, stupid your stuck with.
There were posters patiently explaining the issues, some stupid you just can't fix.
They want to repeat Dover in NC.

They need to change record sometimes.

"Fact is,you cannot prove anything to anyone. One accepts everything on faith or not at all."
The first assertion was that it's a FACT that nothing can be proven to anyone, the next was that everything you believe has to be taken on faith. Therefore, it can never be proven that nothing can be proven to anyone, and that everything you believe has to be taken on faith.
Circular reasoning, it goes around in circles.
And if we couldn't prove ANYTHING at all, our modern justice system and forensic science would not exist. There's more to science than just finding our beginnings for the sake of curiosity.

Do you know how a hypothesis becomes theory? And since it has been observed an organism will adapt to its environment... And what does Satan have to do with atheism? Why is it that what is not something you agree with automatically Satanic?

Theory > myth.

Cogito, ergo sum. Faith? I think not.

I think David Hume said something of the sort back in the 1700s. Technically, you can't prove the chair you're sitting on won't vanish from under your butt. But no one actually believes it; it's just a silly debating tactic. There's a huge difference in available data between believing your chair will continue to exist (or believing in evolution) and believing God sent His son down to be tortured to death to atone for our 100xgreat grandparents' getting tricked into eating a piece of magic fruit by a talking snake.

some use factual evidence

I saw a wild rabbit today.
Then when I come home i looked at my pet rabbit. Things have been bred into pet rabbits that would not be useful to wild rabbits - for example our rabbit has lop ears, which would not be useful in the wild.
Now can you honestly say that this isnt evolution, at least in a very small way?

Right, except for the part where evolution HAS been proven through evidence and first-hand observation.

the fossil record, MRSA, flu, mutations, observed speciation, ring species, DNA, microorganisms, natural selection and reality disagree.
