I wasn't here 2 million years ago. If evolution is so slow, why don't we see anything evolving now?

Have you noticed that your dad has blonde hair and blue eyes, you mom has red hair and kind of hazzle eyes, and that you look more like the milk man than anything?
That should give you clue.
@ Andrew
if we were able to teach the Theory of Evolution properly, you would not be asking that question...
They wouldn't need to ask it. On the other hand, if they were able to teach 'goddidit' as effectively as they'd like, nobody would be allowed to ask.
fractured logic is fractured
or maybe he thinks that "slow" = "has not had time to finish yet, so it should still be working"

Sounds like he believes that speciation consists of long periods where almost nothing visible happens and then suddenly at one day all members of the species transform into another species (with different habitus and different metabolism and so on) and that we therefore should regularly see birds turning into bats, frogs into apes and so on :D

Because you are not a scientist. I think that pictures very well how much you are qualified to critisize evolution.
We do see things evolving now. Elephants with small or no tusks survive longer than those with big tusks, so more and more elephant babies are born with small or no tusks. The few that are born at all, that is; they are endangered due to the poachers that shoot them and steal their tusks.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
