(A thread discussing a Palin quote where she says “Yes, I think I will see Jesus come back to earth in my lifetime.”)
Her realism, glass-half-full take on things, hurts the liberal gloom-and-doom, glass-half-empty take on life.
That's why they can't STAND HER!
ETA: SHE knows Jesus, they (doom and gloom) do not.

Back in my day when you thought those kinds of things you kept them to yourself.
But it's all politically correct now, you have to give stupid people a chance...
*sigh*
*snort*
This is fucking funny.
"Her realism, glass-half-full take on things, hurts the liberal gloom-and-doom, glass-half-empty take on life.
That's why they can't STAND HER!"
I don't like her because she actually believes this bullshit and has a very good chance of actually being President seeing as McCain is about two days older than fucking dirt and would probably drop dead shortly after he was elected.
She's an empty-headed redneck attack-bot. That's why "they" can't stand her.
You think that's realism? You think that should hold the second highest office in your country? You're just another empty-headed sheep in the herd to be exploited yet again.
Her realism??? It is realistic to think that Jesus Christ will come back? You all need to have your heads examined, seriously.
It doesn't matter who you label as half full or half empty, those labels do not change reality you dumb ass.
"Hey, Veep Sarah, think I should nuke Russia, China and what the hell France?"
"Sure, John; that'll speed up Jesus' return, and all the good people will go to Heaven anyway, so it's not like you're really 'killing' several billion people. Deus lo veult!"
last I checked, YOU were the ones who have been predicting the end of the world for the last 2000 years. And you accuse US of "doom and gloom"?
And actually the reason we can't stand her is that she's a moron.
Obama has been referred to as a "Hope-Monger"
Palin thinks the end of the fucking world is already in motion and will occur in her life.
Realism, glass-half-full/empty, gloom-and-doom. Do have any idea what those mean?
P.S. You don't need those hyphens, and most people say doom and gloom.
Right, so she wants the end of the world to happen within her life time. And she's trying to get a job in the same building as the nuclear trigger.
HOW COULD THE FUCKING GLOBAL NUCLEAR CATASTROPHE HAVE BEEN AVERTED!?
No the reason I can't stand her is because she is a hypocrite. She claims to be opposed to government handouts, yet took 21 million dollars in pork barrel handouts for her small town in Alaska and still managed to almost bankrupt the town(so much for her claims to fiscal responsibility). She opposes sex-education and thinks it should be done in the home, yet can't educate HER OWN DAUGHTER well enough to keep her from getting pregnant, unmarried and still teenaged. She claims to oppose government corruption and abuse of powers, yet tried to use hers to fire her ex-brother-in-law. Come to think of it, she is a lying hypocrite, which makes her the perfect candidate for those lying hypocrites at Rapture Ready.
Let's make this election a referendum on the question of whether Jesus will come back to Earth, shall we? And once McCain and Palin are defeated in a landslide, all you fundies can shut the hell up, ok?
"ETA: SHE knows Jesus, they (doom and gloom) do not."
If Jesus is a voice in her head, that's all the reason I need to hate the idea of her being Vice President. If she really thinks she knows Jesus, I'd love to ask her, "What's his shoe size, and how many hot dogs could he eat?"
Oh, so a realistic take on environmental problems and such is "doom and gloom," but an unwavering belief that the world will end in a flurry of fire and brimstone is "glass-half-full?"
ps. Who says "glass-half-empty" anyway?!?
[ETA: SHE knows Jesus, they (doom and gloom) do not. ]
Yeah, and I know Vlad the impaler.
Oe noes! Not the old glasshalffull analogy!
Why do they always use that? We're powerless against it!
*panics, blows head off with Glock36*
Realism =/= “Yes, I think I will see Jesus come back to earth in my lifetime.”
That's delusional fundie bullshit.
The republicans think that they can win the election with a rapture retard as vice?
I know that you guys elected Bush, but seriously, this is just ridiculous.
To quote Bill Maher regarding Palin seeing Jesus in her lifetime: "Hasn't Jesus suffered enough already?"
As to the claim of 'realism', I suggest you look up the definiton.
Her realism, glass-half-full take on things, hurts the liberal gloom-and-doom, glass-half-empty take on life.
Translation: she thinks everything under George Bush was just peachy and she'd like another four, please.
Though I am not a religious person, I do believe that the words "Liberal" and "Christian" are not, in and of themselves, antonyms.
Personally I "Can't stand her" because she's a gay hating, gun toting, Witchdoctor patient. anyone who attempt to pray the gay out of people and has witchdoctors pray to protect her from witches is a lunatic, bottom line.
In the war between the pessimistic set who think there is a chance the world can be saved and we can live in peace, and those who optimistically expect the world to be destroyed in a horror of agony and flames, I put my money on the pessimists.
That's right, angel. Jesus is coming soon, and he's not taking you to see your Heavenly Father until you clean up this mess you've made of our planet. Now quit supporting someone who wants to drill for more oil to make things worse than they already are.
Actually her drooling idiocity and rabid intolerance is what hurts us, and we're not all liberals.
And there was no need to add your ETA. It just made you look like more of a retard.
If she knows Jesus, then she must allready have seen him.
She is welcome to believe that she will see Jesus. Just as long as she don't mix that with politics. Religion is a personal matter, politics concerns whole societies.
I can't stand her 'cause she seems to be inane and insane. And I don't even have to use capitals when I say that.
Hehehe, they equate someone who thinks Jesus is coming back in their lifetime with "realism." Especially funny cause Jesus was supposed to come back before all his Apostles died, they were supposed to be the last generation. Not a lot of people like to draw attention to that though, wonder why?
Right, because, you know, from all the periods of time he could come back to Earth, he has to do it to satisfy a person who hasn´t been particularly observant of his laws and not particularly intelligent.
Yes, jesus is coming...
Any minute now.........
It's imminent, y'all best not have any kids..............................
It's coming soon...............................
Just face it, he is not coming. Because he is a guy from the middle-east, who is DEAD.
Confused?
