'If you think that Barack has so much support--it is an allusion'
Strike 1 for accidental self-reference! Hofstadter would be proud.

Again with this shit about American being founded on Christianity. America was not founded on Christianity and proof is the treaty of Tripoli. Now show me some credible evidence that this god does exist and we will talk but until then there is proven god and it is all crap. And good luck with the republicans winning. Obama 08!

No, Obama's support is certainly not an allusion, and it's not an illusion either.

You seem to forget that when God wasn't part of politics, when Bush Senior and Clinton were in office we had a terrific economy.

many Bushites have mearly taken 5-7 years or so to see he is an idiot and this is the largest group of idiots in power since the Reagan Puppet Revue.
When will the rest of you wise up?

"If you disagree with me, get the fuck out!"
Yeah, that's American values in action right there:sarcasm:.

Obama's got the popular vote though, and I think the candidate with the most votes usually wins.

Re Charity: "a bit more than most libs"
Lying for Jesus is still a sin.
Ironically, the theocrats have to give to charity because they are opposed to other ways of helping people...

Obama '08.
No, your reference is too direct to be an allusion...unless you are alluding to the notion of someone manipulating the polls in his favor.
Many many Republicans are getting tired of these neocon "children of entitlement" and their dangling parasite whores. Time for fiscal responsibility once again!
Hint: "Hey assholes! Give us $700,000,000,000! NOW!"

Here's the deal. I'll move to the UK. You'll move to that conservative, theocratic paradise on earth, Iran. Five years later, we'll compare notes.

America (as others are saying) is what it is because of the values we were founded on.
No. It's what it is because we are one of the few countries in the world that can can feed itself from the bounty of its own soil.

...MARK MY WORDS... REPUBLICANS WILL WIN THIS ONE TOO! Because America has not changed all that much in 4 or 8 years. Most citizens can see when someone really isn't going to do the country any real good. McCain/ Palin will win at least by as much as Bush '04, if not by a lanslide.
That´s one of my fears, too.
That the majority of the americans (especially the uneducasted and fundamentalist part) doesn´t have learned a lession from the second term of Bush and will vote republican again.
But there ist still hope ;)

All I can think of is Kevin Bacon as the ROTC cadet at the end of Animal House: "Stay calm! Everything is under control! All is well! All is weeeeelllllll!"
@IanC: Well, they do - but they consider donations to the Klan as "charitable giving."

Palin is going to suffocate your country with unprecedented levels of moron.
Now I'm not saying I want America to be destroyed. After all, I have citizenship there. But if it is going to be destroyed, I may as well enjoy the spectacle.

"If you think that Barack has so much support--it is an allusion."
I think it's more of an Allegory.
Or maybe a Metaphor.
I never could keep my literary devices straight.
