Assuming that's the correct answer I would say it's always existed as it's nothing more than another form of energy. As far as I'm aware, there's no reason energy could not have always existed whether or not a universe exists.

It may give them the first two but it most certainly does not give them the last.

I find existence to be inherently meaningful. I do not need a deity to justify it to me.
