"There's this thing; it's called a bible."
I know. I've read it... which is good, because I never have to read the goddam thing again.
"It does mention that homosexuality and pre-marital sex are sins."
I could give a flying crap what it says about anything, frankly. It's no one else's business what consenting adults do behind closed doors.
"Oh yeah, Sarah Palin's backyard is Alaska. That protected land. Alaska. So, hmmm......you may be the dumbest person alive. The oil is seeping out of the ground, destroying the wildlife. Why not, hmmm just maybe, drill it out of there and maybe save those precious caribou."
How, exactly, is this related to the matters you discussed at the beginning of your post? How are these two things connected?

And here's the thing, team panda. Not everyone cares what the Bible says.

Yeah, save them for later so she can hunt them from the air, you dumbass.
By the way, Caribou? Not nearly as endangered as the wolves and polar bears she wants to mount on her wall.

If the oil was seeping out of the ground, we would not be drilling for it...

Why not, hmmm just maybe, drill it out of there and maybe save those precious caribou.
Here's a better idea. Since it's the taxpayers' land, how about letting the oil companies drill it out, we taxpayers keep the oil, and we pay them a fee to do the work - just like they do in the rest of the oil-producing world. See how quick the oil companies are to lobby for that deal.
Here's a clue: they want to drill in Alaska because we're the only country left that's stupid enough to allow our politicians to sell our property for half what it's worth to their campaign contributors.
So, hmmm......you may be the dumbest person alive.

There's this other thing, it's called a Bill of Rights, and it says that nobody has to live by someone else's interpretation of the Bible if they don't want to.
Furthermore, that's not how oil works, you dumbass. And stop insulting pandas with that nickname.

There is not a place left on Earth where petroleum spontaneously seeps out of the ground. All such wells were tapped out before the 20th century even began.

Allegory for Jesus
What relevance does the Bible have to anything? It is not an authority to people who do not think that it is authoritative.
And...if the oil is "seeping out of the ground", why would we need to drill? It is only while drilling that the wildlife are imperiled.
So...what was that about the "dumbest person alive"? Projection?
