My child is learning about Christianity because its deeply ingrained in the culture and traditions of my area. My child is free to choose between any religion or no religion. All I ask is that my child think about the decision. I do this because I love my child.

Obviously the original poster failed to understand the fact that the atheists who are saying that they will be glad when the Rapture comes are being sarcastic and the second person is just a dick.

And I don't have kids, but when/if I ever do have kids, I will love them enough to teach them that they are capable of being good worthy people on their own. As opposed to teaching them that they are bad and wicked and going to burn for eternity if they don't spend their lives bowing down to some invisible being in the sky.

(a) the "Rapture" is a lot of nonsense. People have been saying it's going to happen "any day now" for the last 1,900 years.

(b) The Bible doesn't say innocent children will be Raptured. According to the Bible, if you ain't both a believer and baptized, you ain't goin'. And since all these Rapture Ready nuts are either Baptists or some southern US redneck cult that differs from Baptists in name only, it's a good chance their children are neither believers (not at the "age of accountability") nor are baptized.

Depends on whom you talk to. The Left Behind crowd believes that all children under the Age of Acountability (age 8) will get Raptured automatically.
