Yep. This has been true of the swamis who moved into my community in the last few years. They claim they're just here to work and crap, but I don't see them leaving. Or, they grab as much American money as they can, cheat our business laws, and make a quick getaway back to India, where they can live like kings and buy slaves with the money they stole from our country.

My impression? They make good neighbours and diligent coworkers, from my experience. It also meant having specialty grocery stores nearby that had all kinds of interesting foods to discover.
Ragabash, their third world markets are NOT interesting; they're full of disease and illegal products from third world countries. The swamis I have known were NOT good neighbors. They don't even say hello when you pass the m on the street, they just stare at you.They come in here and wear all of thse weird Indian clothes and REFUSE to assimilate to our culture and buy normal American clothes at Wal-Mart. One time my sister was out trick or treating and she knocked on this swami's door, and the guy came out wearing a freakin DIAPER. My dad was so pissed that my eleven year old sister had to see this guy in his underwear like some kind of a pervert, so he called the police but the yrefused to help. He later went back on his own and gave the swami a good talking to about what we wear in America, but I don't think the guy ever listened. Eff swamis and eff their stupid culture!
Asians (Japs, chinkies, gooks, etc.) might be cleaner in their toilet habits. I know that in Japan they have toilets that blow steam up your butt after you go to the bathroom. However, swamis from India are different. They use their hands as toilet paper. Ia m not kidding. Look it up,guys, and think about THAT next time you shake hands with a swami.

What's really funny is that you seem to think Wal-Mart doesn't get most of its goods from third world countries.
Other than that, it's pointless to lecture me on cultures not assimilating. See, I'm not an American, so I have no attatchment to the melting pot mentallity. I was born and raised in Canada, so I'm firm believer in the cultural mosaic. People can move to Canada, keep what they like of their culture, adopt what they like about other cultures, and live in colourful mixed communities. I grew up around Hindis, Vietnamese, Chinese, Pols, Ukrainians, Ugandans, both immigrants and native born Canadians and my British-German family took bits off all of them into our family life, and are happier for it.

In those third would produce markets you're talking about, you get shit from all around the world, none of it inspected by American producers. Trust me, we have one o fthose crapshops near my house. I just thought of something I should point out about this, that being what smart people would do if they see something like this. There's something called the "Health Department" listed in your phone book that you can call if you see something like this. They'll take care of it.
