I think for a long overdue refreshing change, they should be taught the TRUTH of God's creation of man!
If we came from apes, there wouldn't still be apes. From fish, ditto!

I thought about this once, and the only reply I have that they might understand is:
If Christianity came from Catholicism/Judaism, then surely they wouldn't be around either, if that's you're view on evolution.
If we came from apes, there wouldn't still be apes. From fish, ditto!
Completely, utterly, totally wrong.
If we came from apes, there wouldn't still be apes
The creationist website "Answers in Genesis" has a list of "Arguments we think creationists should NOT use". They say "Persistently using discredited arguments is both ineffectual and, more importantly, immoralit’s the truth that sets us free (John 8:32), not error, and Christ is “the truth” (John 14:6)! Since there is so much good evidence for creation, there is no need to use any of the “doubtful” arguments."
Listed under "Which arguments should definitely not be used?" is "If we evolved from apes, apes shouldn’t exist today."
At this rate, in a hundred years this argument will be obsolete...because apes will likely be extinct.
Something tells me Fundamentalists, whether Christian or Moslem, will not...
800trunkerman I have a secret to tell you. Are you listening? YOU are an ape. Deal with it.
Oh and also, try learning a little bit about evolution before you maek statements that make you look like a total idiot to people with brains. Just some helpful advice.
Yeah, but to bad only Christians teach people about that.
Evolution, that is taught in schools, teaches REAL science..not what you just mentioned.
If you dont like the idea of teaching that men came from monkeys, then stop teaching your children that..because evolution does not.
"It is said that religious fundamentalism has a special attraction to uneducated people."
Oh, we ain't just SAYING it.
I think, for a long overdue refreshing change, they should be taught the FACTS of Evolution!

If we came from dirt, there wouldn't still be dirt.
"ditto!"
"Ditto"? "Ditto"?! You provincial putz! [/Hedy... er, I mean Hedley Lamarr] [/"Blazing Saddles"] X3
@God
"Damn this guy is good. I bet he can count to purple, too."
He can also count to ten, all by himself! [/Doug Piranha-levels of sarcasm]. Twenty, if mummy takes off his shoes & socks. Twenty-one, if he takes down his trou... (*is shot *) X3
"If we came from apes, there wouldn't still be apes."
- It amazes me how everyone who says this seems to be so darn proud of themselves, like they were the first one to ever consider it
Not just one of their biggest strawmen but an example of how little they care about having an actual argument or what evolutional trees actual show.
We don't come from those apes, we come from the same branch as those apes, the split could have occured when we looked more rodenty. Some rodenty creature could have evolved into chimpanzees and a close relative to us, some of those rodenty creatures may have died out but some may be with us still and may still be much as they were two million years ago.
See what I did there? Some believers are going "kinda" but Creationists are going "no,that stupid, make no sense, Godditit! evolution stupid n bad, Bizarro no like sense"
If you came from your cousin, how come your cousin still exists?
Wait, you say you didn't, and you and your cousin had a common ancestor? I think you might be beginning to see...
It's easier to debunk that pathetic excuse for an argument than it is to hit a barn door with a tennis ball from a distance of six inches.
But just in case our fundie friend here is too stupid to work it out let me ask him/her this...why, then, is there still dirt?
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
