[Our country was built by Christians and Jews...]
Among others, yes.
[Have a little pride in your forefathers and let it be.]
You first, please.
[Why is it that people want to change these things that are barely noticeable and are a sign of our country's history?]
I'm thinking that, for some people, it's just easier to change history than to give up their ideas as to what really happened.
Speaking of history--have you read the Treaty of Tripoli? It's very interesting. I highly recommend it--you don't want to appear foolish and uneducated.
[Are you going to start singing a different National Anthem now? ...a little known verse (last verse) says - "And this be our motto: "In God is our trust"".]
I'm going to need a citation before I answer.
[Oh and I'll bet "god bless America" really gets your goat too, huh! Do you ban it from your house?]
Nah, I'm not into censorship. There's already been too many "witch hunts" and "red scares" in this country.
However, I'll admit that it bothers me when political figures use the phrase disingenuously.
I'm curious--when was the last time you saw a left-winger burn or ban a book?
[Just how un-American are you?]
I'm a certified, legal citizen of the US...just like you're a fucking tool.
