From the irony department:...
(Q: Is Jesus a hypocrite?
Jesus states "But anyone who says 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell." Mat 5:22
But then Jesus says...
"You fools!" (Jesus) Luke 11:40
"You blind fools!" (Jesus) Mat 23:17
"How foolish you are" (Jesus) Luke 24:25
"But God said to him, 'You fool!' " (Jesus) Luke 12:20)
A:
When Jesus says it, it is righteous truth. Jesus cannot sin and Jesus can do no wrong.

What do you mean by "righteous" truth? Is it absolute or relative?
Example: If Jesus was human and since all humans are invariably sinful, how can he not sin? If he was god, then his sacrifice on a cross is meaningless and unnecessary.
Shall we go back to the original question now?
Nothing to do with the fact that the same English word "fool" is here being used to translate two different words is it?
Not that the first is actually an Aramaic term of abuse used to belittle people and the others are the word for those who refuse to live their lives a "wise" way (ie: following justice etc see the Hebraic Wisdom tradition).
This shows nothing about Jesus - merely the fundie's lack of biblical knowledge (and a slightly disturbing temptation in we "non-fundies" not to check out the background but to jump on the bandwagon that takes the translation at apparent facevalue and fits an agenda about Jesus! ;-) )
They will use the same argument when one criticizes gods behavior according to the old testament.
Obviously everything god does is per definition good and just, no matter how evil and unjust it may appear :D
(aside from the fact [acording to fundamentalists] that god doesn´t have to obey the rules he made because he was the one who made them :D )
Are you suggesting that I am a liar, you fool?
Religion has you brainwashed to the point that you will twist logic and reason so as to justify a dichotomy.
These people react more or less the same way when their priests are caught doing unmentionable things to the altar boys, or when their local 'pastor' of the mega-church is a homosexual drug addict who just got caught...
It scares me that these people give themselves so willingly to obviously corrupt authority. Such devotion gives too much power to evil lying charlatans.
Oh, let's open another can
If Jesus was born as human, then wouldn't he be an auto sinner like every other child?
Oh right, rules do not apply to him
Thus morality is, indeed relative.
@ Freedom Bound: Slicing the bologna a bit thin, aren't we?
Ah yes, good ol bible morality, where one who speculates about sex is evil incarnate and a deity who drowns and kills all human beings on earth is righteous. Let us spend an hour in prayer lest the Lord decide to burn us all and send us to hell in his righteous hat... love for not performing to impossible expectations.
Confused?
