Obama's slated to win more than half of this country's popular vote. Funny thing is, if no true Christian is voting for Obama, then Obama's winning would mean that America is predominantly non-Christian, by your estimation.
And yet you get mad at him for saying this isn't a Christian nation! Can't have it both ways, dude.

What the hell is it about this guy that scares you people so much? I can only assume that you've all taken to telling your kids that if they're not good that Obama will come and get them instead of the Boogeyman.
Let me take a stab at this: the only group of real, true Christians are those in your particular subset of a denomination of a schism.

I've been to NC. Churches at every corner, KKK, Confederate flags, and so many rednecks you would hardly believe these people have links back to Europe.
And those who are not rednecks (good, kind people whose hospitality and friendship I value) keep their heads well below the religious parapet.
It's the nearest I've seen to Iran.

Not in rural NC I didn't. Nor did I want to. I was disturbed by lawn crosses, the Civil War flags and the tenor of the notices outside the churches. It felt like a society under seige. Even trying to get a bottle of wine for the host of a dinner I had been invited to was like trying to buy something nasty and illegal.
But if you are happy with that kind of lifestyle, then fine.
Of those friends I have there, a not inconsiderable number were planning an eventual move to more northern states.
BTW, being European, I probably travel a lot more than you. Low-fare airlines, excellent road and rail systems make it quite easy. I have copious experience of the richness of cultures from Norway in the north to the Straits of Gibralter, and from Ireland and Britain to the Middle East. I think you could say I get around.

You throw Confederate flags in like you were taught in an American school north of the Mason-Dixon line. Is a pitchfork an evil symbol too? Misuse does not alter original intent.

Maybe you guys better think about wanting to face God soon given your arrogance in assuming HIS PLACE IN JUDGMENT of fellow Christians based on YOUR POLITICS! The scary thing is that even the Roman Catholic Church is trying such supernatural intimidation tactics on its members. The local diocese paper was handwringing a couple of weeks ago about how many Obama stickers they find in church parking lots. (I flip through it when it comes every week. I don't think my parents read it at all. It does a remarkable job of reinforcing my decision to leave the RCC.)

The entire point of the Confederacy was to protect rich Southerners' rights to keep slaves. You can spin it however you want, but that is what the Confederate battle flag symbolizes, and anyone who argues otherwise is either naive or intentionally whitewashing the facts.
I'm sure what he meant to say was "Any true Christian voting for either candidate based solely on their religious beliefs, which are not, have not, and should never be considered qualifications for the Presidency, is ignorant."
