I say offending/tempting because it appears that there are two ways to look at it. But as you live your life, angels look at you. And when they see you not wearing a head covering around males/not having long hair, they get offended/tempted by you.

Why do you upset the unicorns?
Everytime a unicorn logs onto the internet to surf youtube and sees another comment attempting to limit someone's choice, posted by a religious asshole, the unicorn bleeds from it's eyes.
The unicorn then flees home and makes the smurfs cry and the wombles go crazy. Everytime the religious stick their noses where they're uninvited and not wanted the whole of make-believe land suffers earthquakes and fire raining down from the sky.

Even if one takes the Bible that literally ... the Nephilim died out more than 3,000 years ago (something like that, I can't remember the date of the wars with the Canaanites offhand). And they weren't literally angel/human crossbreeds anyway. They were a tribe of humans taller than the Israelites, at least a few of whom had polydactyly. Not that rare. (Of course, according to the cryptozoology people, Nephilim are something like Neanderthals.)
And that verse from 1 Corinthians that's being paraphrased is really unclear, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't mean "do this or angels will want to have sex with you".

You know, I think angels should have more self control. And personal responsibility. Blaming others for your failings is pathetic.

Wait, which one offends them, and which one tempts them? Are they tempted by short hair, or offended by it? Am I supposed to have long hair that's covered? If it's covered, why does it matter what length it is? I think it's supposed to be the long, uncovered hair that tempts and the short hair that offends, in which case your parallelism is lacking.
I want to know, because as an atheist woman I want to maximize how much I offend AND tempt the angels.
Also, I have this fetish about having sex with imaginary friends.
Well, we don't believe that cutting our hair short is going to make angels want to do us, for one thing...
For another, we don't believe in angels. You know. That whole atheist thing.

But this is a truly weird interpretation of 1 Corinthians 11:10, which is one of the Bible's more enigmatic verses. I don't think any major group claims it means THIS, though (most interpretations I've seen have it as meaning something about authority - I've seen it as submitting to the authority of God, submitting to the husband's authority, or asserting the woman's authority. So basically, it's not clear.)
