Darwin attacked the church with saying God was not the Creator and that man evolved from animals, specifically the monkey. Darwin and his father had no reason for the origin of the species except to disprove God. Fraud and lies upheld their view for many years until DNA came along and exposed them.

1 Evolution does not prove the existence or nonexistence of God
2 Humans did not evolve from monkeys, instead we have a common ancestor
3 DNA is the strongest evidence for evolution
"Fraud and lies upheld their view for many years until DNA came along and exposed them."
Oh yes. Genetics completely destroys Darwin's theory. Yup, yup.
Unless you're not a complete fucking idiot that is, in which case you can see how it does nothing but support Darwin's idea.
Darwin never said there was no God or that God wasn't the creator. He just said living things share a common ancestor. DNA has confirmed evolution, not destroyed it. DNA confirms humans' common ancestry with other apes by pretty much the same techniques used in paternity testing or the DNA tests on CSI.
No, the Church attacked Darwin for saying that creatures evolved to suit their environments.
Discovery of DNA supported Darwin's contention that species evolved from other species.
P.S. You're a fool.
Thats funny..last time I heard Darwin was a Christian when he wrote that book..he just wasnt a dumb ass Cretin like you are. It was the death of his daughter that (rightfully) caused him to become an agnostic.
You see, we atheists have many logical and rational arguments for not believing. But Christians arent the only ones allowed to use emotional arguments as well.. we are human after all and I am not above using the emotional and the rational to make my case.

Care to provide a citation?
[...and that man evolved from animals, specifically the monkey.]
Apes.
[Darwin and his father had no reason for the origin of the species except to disprove God.]
Wrong, and wrong.
[Fraud and lies upheld their view for many years...]
What "fraud and lies", specifically?
[...until DNA came along and exposed them.]
By "exposed", you mean "supported", right?
It's ironic, that the majority of the world's Christians accept the view of "theistic evolution", which is, that evolution happened, but that God was controlling the process. This is the official dogma of the Roman Catholic church, the majority view in the Eastern Orthodox church, and also held by mainstream and liberal Christians. It's actually only a small minority of Christians who think that the first two chapters of Genesis are to be understood literally, and this view didn't come about until AFTER Darwin put forth his ideas. This particular Christian idea, however, just happens to be the group with the loudest, most obnoxious voices. And they need to be put in their place. They need to understand that not even most CHRISTIANS take their distorted, irrational, idiotic point of view.
Nope, Darwin didn't say aye, boo or maybe about God. Nothing. The only notable thing his dad said was, "I wish he'd become a lawyer." And DNA is virtually irrefutable proof of evolution.
I think this may actually be a new talking point that's making the rounds -- I think it was PZ Myers on scienceblogs.com was saying that a creo blogger was claiming that Mendel was actually trying to refute one of Darwin's lesser theories by publishing his early work on genetics.
(Entirely apart from the logical fallacies involved, mind, it turns out that Mendel's theory of genes was published two years before Darwin's pangenes, and no one knows if Mendel was even familiar with Darwin. Darwin certainly wasn't aware of Mendel.)
Darwin attacked the church with saying God was not the Creator and that man evolved from animals
When did this happen? Can you provide a quote of Darwin attacking the church?
specifically the monkey
Ape, not monkey. If your going to rail against a scientific theory then for fuck's sake at least get the damnned theory right.
Darwin and his father had no reason for the origin of the species except to disprove God
What did Darwin's father have to do with it? And why would Darwin as a christian be trying to disprove god?
Fraud and lies upheld their view for many years until DNA came along and exposed them.
DNA comfirmed Darwins Theory of Evolution. Do you even have the slightest idea of what your are blathering about?
Actually, no. Darwin didn't set out to disprove God's existence and never claimed to have done so. He was just a naturalist who came across some interesting evidence that set him thinking.....
How on earth does DNA prove him wrong?
It was Darwin's grandfather, Erasmus Darwin, not his father, who should be named here. He was a clever guy.
And the original Origin of Species made no reference to the evolution of humans from apes, though Darwin realized that the bunching of panties would presently commence as it was a logical corollary. Nevertheless, an explicit statement of it didn't appear for something like ten years, well after he'd come under fire. Darwin was a Doctor of Theology, for crying out loud.
And Jean omits a crucial part of the last sentence. "...until DNA came along and exposed them AS COMPLETELY CORRECT."
1. Darwin was a christian.
2. He didn't attack the church, it took him ages to release OSNS due to the discrimination that would be broguht by it.
3. Theistic evolution is silly, the best you can go on is that the physical laws of the universe that drive natural selection were created by God.
DNA did the opposite. Next!
And Mitch, Darwin was not really a christian, although his wife was. His discoveries concerning evolution lead him pretty much as far towards atheisim as one could get in his day.
Correct me if im wrong, but didnt the discovery of DNA, and its subsequent study, prove evolutionary theory beyond REASONABLE doubt? i was pretty sure it did. maybe the theory is still being refined, but it is fact, and one day, when we have come as close to perfection as it can get, it will be INDISPUTABLE(from a scientific perspective, creationists will always dispute it) fact.
Confused?
