Would a loving parent torment his child forever and ever?
Answer : YES. IT'S CALLED TOUGH LOVE.

Another FSTDT user pointed out, I think in the forums, that parents only lovingly punish their children with the intent that it will ultimately make them better members of society.
If God punishes us after death, and we have no chance to redeem ourselves from Hell, then the punishment is useless because there's nothing after that. It's pointless sadism. It's not tough love, it's senseless hatred. Brought on by God, nonetheless, because He is judging us based on our belief in something that he won't even argue for - His own existence.

No. It's called sadism. Look it up, moron.
Hell is a scare tactic invented to frighten uneducated people into paying money to the church. That is the bottom line, so to speak, of christianity. The rest is just tinsel and flashing lights. Money is all that churches want and ever have wanted.
young and intelligent
Uh...no.
No, it's not. Tough love is supposed to help someone overcome a problem in their life and change for the better. Eternal torture is just punishment. Some people, Jeffrey Dahmer, for example, deserve that. Most don't. But it doesn't matter anyway because there isn't any hell. And you may be young, but you are most assuredly not intelligent, nor do I think that you have any knowledge of parenting.
Tough love would probably be a spanking or two months grounding. Not burning your child alive for all eternity. Parents punish their kids to teach them a lesson and so that they can make better choices in the future. But God punishes people forever...so...it's not really punishment, it's just torture.
What the fuck?
"Tough Love" tends to have a point to it.
Eternal torment, on the other end, has no point to it, and that's just needless sadism.
My response: GET STERILIZED AND NEVER, EVER HAVE CHILDREN!
