When will the first atheist televangelist appear?
Answer : What will he do; dress in a monkey suit and give hour long sermons on evolution, the meaninglessness of life, the relativity of truth, and pass out buttons of the word hope with a red slash through it? Will there also be free Prozac with the refreshments for those listening to his "I hate people of faith" speeches?
Would he then in the same tradition of the religious he so despises, amass great wealth from these televised charades?
Some of this has already begun. There's a name for it also; the American Education System.

Televangelists, ha! I'd be surprised if an atheist would waste their time.
Worship is bad, be it religious in the form of gods, or government like fascism or strict communism (good ol' genocidal boys Hitler and Stalin). Atheism is nice because it's skeptical - the bane of worship.
I'm pretty certain none of my science teachers ever dressed up as monkeys and handed out prozac to the class. Then again, I'm Canadian, so I can't speak for Americans... still, something tells me that their teachers never did that either...

Aw, man, I wish I'd had teachers who dressed up in monkey suits and passed out Prozac! I could've used that when I was in school!

I'm going to go with, "Never".
(unless you count those guys that have been preaching by day and then got caught paying for buttsecks at night)
What a blubbering idiot. F'Sho is probably a white guy that listens to Christian rap and wears big gold crosses on his neck and ears. Now, about the "meaninglessness of life, relativity of truth, and the destrucion of hope, with "I hate people who don't agree with me" speeches" all sounds like fundy BS, not anything an atheist would preach. Get a life.
@Doctor Whom
And yet F' Sho supposedly (according to his profile) has a "college" education. However he also claims to be nontrinitarian and yet says he makes no claim of religious denomination whatsoever.
I smell something fishy about this guy.
Hello, Im F'Sho and I want to apologize for my comment above. It was rather rude of me to say such things.
I have also read through the entire FSTDT site and discovered how delusional I really was and I have now become an atheist who seeks an education through the American Education system.
Again, sorry for my asshat attitude before.. I was such a goober back then.
I'd say Dawkins is the closest we have to that fanciful hybrid.
Atheist leaders tend to write books with facts that are supportable. Book sales are fairly good, thus they don't need to hustle the hoi-polloi like the bible pushers do.
Actually, truth is not relative, hope is not a delusion, but rather a human emotion, not really a part of the discussion at all, and why Prozac?
I'm hyper enough already.
@ F'Sho: Really?
O_O Are you some kind of witty reverse Poe?
@ F'Sho the 2nd: Doesn't work unless it's 'HA HA HA' 'LOL' doesn't make sense.
his "I hate people of faith" speeches
I see where you're going wrong, here.
People hate you, and you assume, since they're atheists, that it must be because you have faith.
Here's another idea, just, y'know, throwing it out there - might it not be because you're a DICK?
"Relativity of Truth?"
When you take a skeptical, scientific view of things, the truth is not relative. There is an objective truth out there; we just don't know the entirety of it. When you take a fundy view, however, the babble is "truth," even when it disagrees with reality. I'd call that relative truth.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
