Also, if I remember right, the odds of getting AIDS from an infected needle are much higher than getting it from any kind of sex. So I think that if Claudius is talking about drug users, certainly, it might be true. Gays, not so much.

Riiiiight, we all know there are a finite number of homosexuals. Once AIDS has killed them all, they won't be able to recruit more heteros into sodomosexual behavior (because of course people aren't *born* gay - God don't make queers! He made sinners who *become* queer).
