Logic is irrelevant when discussing God.
You cling to logic like some cling desperately to beliefs that God will cure their cancer.

No, logic is necessary when intelligently discussing anything. Logic is irrelevant when BELIEVING in God.

No, I cling to logic because it works. Believing that God will cure one's cancer is nothing like that.
Of course logic is irrelevant when discussing religious deities, because deities are illogical. Logic is never a bad thing, so why would you be religious if religion only makes sense when you suspend logic? I don't get this doublethink.

False. Logic is irrelevant when *believing* in a God. There's a sizeable difference there. I can discuss Vishnu and not believe in him in the slightest.
You, sir, are a moron.

I cling to logic because reality runs on logic and I run on reality. There's really no cognitive dissonance here.
And you know what, fuck you. If believing that God will help their cancer makes them feel better, who the hell are you to tell them it's not okay?

Yes you've demonstrated that.

But logic based medical treatments actually do cure cancer.
so you admit that your god doesn't cure diseases? I guess you admit that prayer doesn't work then?
Logic does work. Science, which is based on logic, can cure cancer, at least some of the time.
He's partly right about the first line. Logic does not come into play when discussing god, because there is no god, which is why christians deny it's importance. It's hard to accept logic whenever your brain barely functions as it is.
Pancakes are good.
Cool cats sit sauce.
Therefore God doesn't exist.
Whew, good thing we threw logic out the window so I could use my master-proof for atheism.
Dumbfuck.
Which of the 2500+ man-made, one-true, all-powerful gods are you referring to?
Many cancers are reversible if detected early enough, and many forms are cureable.
My wife, father and grandmother being testament to that.
She died at 106 and was a life-long happy pagan.
So logic and God cannot exist together. Fair call. I pick logic.
You cling to God like someone who desparately clings to beliefs that God will cure their cancer. Do you mean he will or won't cure them?

Hmmm? As far as I know, there aren't that many deities that have been claimed to be the only god (Aten, the Abrahamic God, and in some sects of Zoroastrianism, Ahuramazda. Also, some interpretations make Brahman in Hinduism somewhat of a monotheistic God, as do some Native American groups' versions of Wakantanka or the Creator). Are there any others?
Confused?
