11. Thou shalt NOT buildeth thyself a big rocket, nay, not to fly thyself unto the Moon, for the LORD thy God is a jealous God, and wholeheartedly disapproves of planetary geology or anything else that would indicate that He is a load of rubbish.
If videos could be on the site as well, the whole thing would be brilliant for CTSTDT, because he's not even making sense. Seriously, anyone with a basic understanding of physics, go watch it, and be amazed how he can be so horribly wrong.
Is there anything besides praying that is not a sin in the eyes of these wackos?
No, we actually had a guy that spelled this out a few days/ a week or so ago, had a list of just about everything you can imagine and said if you do these things more then you focus on god or whatever you are going to hell.
Heck, according to that dude, going to church is evil.
Um, anonymous? Getting into space happens to be really difficult. Apart from the safety concerns, the amount of energy needed to get out of earth orbit is simply colossal. I think the earth's gravitational field, hard space radiation and distances that would take many generations to traverse even at relativistic speeds make the whole business quite challenging enough - in fact, were god to exist, there's probably not a great deal he could do to make it any harder, short of actively shooting down any vehicles that actually made it.
The Angels were punished for Leaving their first place
Not true. Technically their first place was Wrigley Field, which they shared in 1961, and the next year they left for Dodger Stadium and posted an 86-76 record, good enough to challenge the NY Yankees for the AL pennant.
Wow, I've read the whole bible cover to cover, many times, and I have NEVER read where the Lard said "When those evil liberals create space travel, thou shalt not go there." And when it says "the angels left their first place" it wasn't talking about space travel, you idiot, it refers to those angels who sinned and became demons.
So how far away from Earth do we have to be for it to constitute a "sin"? Would suborbital flight be a sin, or do you have to completely break free of the Earth's gravitational pull for it to be so?
Well, given the way the average fundie interprets most other commandments and definitions of sin, let's put it this way: don't jump.
The Van Allen Belt is a region of high energy particles held captive by the magnetic field of the earth, and according to David Stern a 1/8" plate a aluminum would be enough shielding for life to get trough. I got this information using a simple Google search. Next time you decide to make up wild conspiracy theories you could at least look up the terms you use in your video. I would be posting this on your video but I have noticed you have disabled comments.
