think about that... we don't know what causes Alzheimer's... but we are working on a vaccine... given the time, I'm sure they can 'come up' with a vaccine for just about anything... question is... do you trust these clowns know what they are doing? I for one, certainly do not...

A vaccine to cure a genetic illness in the brain? Come again?
"given the time, I'm sure they can 'come up' with a vaccine for just about anything"
Is this a bad thing? Am I missing something here?
"question is... do you trust these clowns know what they are doing?"
Well if they continue to do amasing job at eliminating deadly condition and keep finding new ways of bringing people back from the brink of death, like they have done (for the most part) so far, you can be god damn right I'll keep supporting modern medicine.
"I for one, certainly do not..."
Well it's good to know that Darwins theory of survival of the fittest isn't made 100% obsolete by the advance of our societies.
Think about Alzheimer's for a minute...
Where was I? OK, Alzheimer's.
So? What about it? Who are you anyway, you're not my son. Go away.
As a group, or a history of vocational achievement, these "clowns" have outperformed any religious leader.
Did Christianity or a Church cure anything? NO
Yes, much like the Priests of the middle ages if we just pray hard enough we can get any disease to go away. Unless we can't. But hey, that's just God's will to punish us for enjoying smelling a rose or looking at just the wrong angle at a shoe. Not like those medical quacks that regularly do their best to keep people alive and healthy with "science" and "reason". Stupid medical school educated bastards.
What we have here is another prime example of fundie logic. It follows the same line of thinking as the classics “Evolution disagrees with Genesis, ergo anything that disagrees with Genesis is evolution.” or “My pastor/senator/representative says that I do not like Marxism/Socialism, so anything that I don’t like has to be Marxism/Socialism.”. In this case it is “Vaccines help against diseases, ergo anything that helps against diseases has to be a vaccine.”
That kind of “logic” spares one the effort to have to learn what words actually mean.
Also: We have the small pox and polio vaccines, we win.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
