Quote# 5067

Probably the biggest right off the top is the widely acknowledged understanding that Muhammad was totally illiterate... and not to bright on top of that. His stories were handed down by oral tradition and not set on paper for quite some time... hmmm

You do know that Muhammad lived 1400 years ago, right? About 98 percent of the population was illiterate at that time, stupid. That doesn't mean that they were all "not to bright", just that there were very few books to read, and that priests and monks did all the reading and writing.

You do know that the stories that would later become the Bible were handed down by oral tradition for several hundred years before they were set on parchment, right? Paper didn't exist back then, as you certainly know, being "to bright" yourself...

I imagine this is the same person who would claim that a certain son of a carpenter was literate and well read.
