Appropriate analogy indeed.
Prayer doesn't work.
The Emperor's Clothes do not exist.

You just disproved your point. Nice analogy.

This is roughly the same excuse that audiophiles and psychics give when their favorite tweak doesn't show any useful changes when a double-blind test is done. It is the purest woo.

The whole point of the Emperor's clothes was that everyone PRETENDED to see them so no one would realize they were dumbfucks.

If prayer worked, test or no, it would have shown. Period. Pray all you want...after you get appropriate medical attention.
I wouldn't be this emphatic about this, except it's rarely THEIR lives they risk for prayer to be enough...it's their loved ones that tend to suffer the most.

Wow. You really didn't get the story of the Emperor's Clothes, did you?
Do we have an 'Unintentional Truth' award?
