Quote# 5079

I'm a new homeschool mom & looking very forward to reading your [creationism] articles & discussing the information with my husband and three children who are 12, 7, & 5. We decided to bring our children home so that we can use the Bible as our 'textbook' and train up our children in the way that God would have them go.

The true victims here are the children, who will end up perpetuating yet another generation of ignorance.

Leaving aside for the moment the issue of indoctrination (i.e., brainwashing), there's no way the kids are going to get a state-accredited education if the Bible is your only textbook. Denying them any kind of actual substantive education amounts to child abuse (and in my opinion, the brainwashing makes the situation a thousand times worse). I wish I knew where this person lived, so I could sic Child Services on her.

"looking very forward". So no side glances then?
As God does not strike against the public schools, it would seem he is happy, or at least content, with them as they are.
If the Bible is to be your textbook, then what do you need these people's creationism articles for? They are not the Bible.

Now kids, repeat after me, "Do you want fries with that?"

Here in the UK, even private tutors and homeschooling parents have to abide by the National Curriculum, which includes teaching Evolution & the Big Bang as fact.

It's the law.

No Kitzmiller vs. Dover required.

There's a good reason why we have forced secularism in our educational system, Kerri.

But then, if you want your country to become inferior to China, far be it from me to stop you, dearie.

PROTIP: Don't forget to teach your child this, which'll be so vital in his/her future career: 'Do you want fries with that?'

Far be it for me to cast aspersions upon the floor sweepers and trash pickers of this world but your kids are going to aspire to those sort of jobs.

Be sure and teach them to say, "Do you want fries with that?" and, "Do the trash cans need emptying?"

Sigh. Three more young minds turned to shit for no good reason whatsoever. And the cycle may well continue when they have kids of their own (assuming they ever figure out how baby is made).

You are a fucking child abuser, Kerri.

Making sure that they flunk Biology, eh? Great idea. That will keep them out of those nasty colleges where they might actually learn something.

Secular public schooling versus Religious home schooling:

Secular public schooling result:
Da woild iz abowt a zillion yeers oold.
Awl lif evulved from slimey crud.

Religious home schooling result:
Duh woorld iss ownly a cuple of thowsand yaers olde.
Gawd maid liffe from diert joost eggzactly lyke it iss tooday.

See the big difference!

That's awesome from my point of view -three less fuck stick fundies to compete with our children for what jobs might be left (after the GOP allies have outsourced them all to slave labor havens) when they come of age.

I am pro-home schooling for fundies!

Now get back to work!

The Bible may work... if you existed before science, morality, and sanity. As much as you like to ignore it, you don't, though, so stop it.

Be sure to "train up" your kids about these things from your "textbook":

Stoning disobedient children
Killing those that work on Sunday
Killing those that eat shellfish
Killing those that wear mixed fabrics
Killing your wife if she's not a virgin on your wedding night
Killing all of the Amalekite men, women, children, infants, and animals, but keeping 32000 virgins for you to rape later
Killing entire towns if anyone within is worshipping another god
Killing 42 kids for making fun of bald guys

Your "Career Development" curriculum can consist of visiting all of the local fast-food restaurants, as, given your "textbook", that is very likely the only career path they will have.

"looking very forward"? I pity your children...

God would have them go ignorant and anti-social?

Are you sure you want your children to read things like these below?
Psalm 137:9 "Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones."
1 Samuel 15:3 "Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass."
Song of Solomon 4:5 Thy two breasts are like two young roes that are twins, which feed among the lilies."

"We decided to bring our children home so that we can use the Bible as our 'textbook'"

So much for them becoming scientists, engineers, doctors, or lawyers.
