Should atheists be put into 'bible camps' ...?
...and be forced to stay there until they except Jesus into their life?

Yeah and its not like any of us became atheists because we read the bible. Oh wait scrap that.
Freedom, now for christians only.
Nope.
If you ask however, whether religious fundamentalists should be put into humanist camps,
until they learn to accept people with other beliefs (or nonbeliefs) and different sexual orientations, I would answer yes ;)
@myheadhurts: "Only the wholy sparit can cause exceptions."
God works like Windows? o_O
No WONDER he doesn't get involved in human affairs anymore! He blue-screened thousands of years ago, and there's nobody to hit reset!
What would be the test(s) for release? How do you undeniably know that I've accepted Jesus and am now eligible to rejoin society? I can pay lip service to God 'til I'm blue in the face but it doesn't mean I truly believe it. Torture me, sleep deprive me, condition me, program me, kill me, it doesn't matter. I will never give in.
Poor spelling aside, if you try to put me into a camp you will never live down the humiliation of being beaten to a pulp by a liberal, atheist, homosexual. To add insult to injury, I'll act as "femme" as I can while I beat you to a pulp. Perhaps I'll sing show tunes dress in drag.
This quote sums up why I'm an Atheist. I thought we'd eliminated these kinds of attitudes with the downfall of Nazism in WWII? Proof that Right-wing Fundy Christians are at least as bad as Nazis. Maybe worse?
If this is what religion can turn people into, then frankly this world would be better if it was purely ATHEIST.
"Should atheists be put into 'bible camps' ...?"
Somehow, after the debacle that was the 'Kids on Fire' camp run by Becky Fischer, I very much doubt that such will come to pass. The documentary film "Jesus Camp" has put the kybosh on that idea of yours now and in the future.

I can just see it now...:
basisdnb: 'Name?'
Anon-e-moose: 'Anon-e-moose.'
basisdnb: 'Nationality?'
Anon-e-moose: 'British.'
basisdnb: 'Sex?'
Anon-e-moose: 'YES PLEASE! '
basisdnb: '*Ahem *... and do you except Jesus into your life?'
Anon-e-moose: 'Well, as I'm an Atheist, I already have excepted him. I'll certainly never accept him - because he doesn't exist. . 'Accept'. 'Except'. There is a difference. 'Forced to Except Jesus into your life'. You said it, I didn't.'
basisdnb: '... Ah. Right. Good point. You got us there. *tears up form * You can go. *looks out of window at extremely empty 'Jesus Camp'; wind blows, tumbleweeds roll by *
'... Arse.'
X3
Clicking on the quote link, it restores one's faith in humanity to see how everyone who answered tore basisdnb a new one.
The chosen answer being a prime example of Argument Annihilation at work: simply take the fundie cunt's own logic to it's ultimate extreme, and turn it against them.
Brings a tear to the eye, knowing that I'm not the only one out there; hope for the world indeed.
Learn the difference between "except" and "accept" first, you blithering moron.
Oh, and take your "bible camps" and shove them up your arse.
Thet there's agonna be an in'erestin' conversashun on Judgemin' Day.
"Says here that you accept Jesus?"
"Yes, sir, I surely do."
"Also says here that the reason you accept Jesus is that you were tired of the cooking at Christcamp."
"Yep. See, the beatings weren't so bad, and the tests were dead easy, and I knew more Bible verses than the instructors, but their biscuits and gravy used unleavened biscuits."
(St. Peter sighs) "I'm going to make another note in basisdnb's file..."
Confused?
