Wicca and Witchcraft are not the same thing. Witchcraft is self-explanatory, and it is not a religion. Wicca IS a religion and some Wiccans do not cast spells, others may, saying they're the same is like saying you're involved in witchcraft even if you don't do spells. Now, the question that nags me the most is this: How is collecting candy evil?

"Tom Sanguinet, former high priest in the Celtic tradition of Wicca (witchcraft)"
You're a damn liar. I don't even believe this person exists, let alone that he was ever involved in Wicca. Lying for jesus is still lying.

Why do christians celebrate the pagan holidays of Easter and Christmas, and yet put down Halloween? I've been wondering that alot lately.

Halloween is a most Christian holiday celebrated on the same date as an ancient Celtic holiday. Look up the defintion of syncretism. The early church co-opted all of the pagan holidays and imbued them with Christian symbology so that the new religion would be more acceptable to converts. And as for the rest of the post about the satanic nature of Halloween- absolute drivel and nonsense that's been preached by fundamentalist bigots for years with no supporting evidence.

OK, I have to say this. Wicca isn't technically a Celtic pagan tradition. It's more a modern invention by Gerald Gardener that was based primarily on old Celtic pagan traditions. But Wicca and Celtic neo-pagan reconstructionism are two different things, although they are not mutually exclusive. Satanism is completely different than paganism. There are different strains of satanism, such as luciferian, Laveyan, and the Gnostic sects that lean more toward the worship of evil, such as the Sethian sect, or the Ophites. Depending on which form one practices, the theology and practices could be completely different from each other, as Gnostic versions were more concerned with mysticism, Laveyan is more a parody of christianity, and luciferian and other such sects are more of the actual 'devil-worshipping' type. Now, this 'Tom Sanguinet' is not a real person, for several reasons. 1. There are various sects of Wicca, such as Gardnerian, Alexandrian, Seax, etc., and this person never mentions his sect. 2. The High Priestess would be the one more likely to be consulted on such matters, as the High Priestess is the head of the coven. 3. Halloween is called in Wicca and other various neo-pagan religions 'Samhain (pronounced Sow-een)' and is one of the cross-quarter days, one of the eight holidays practiced by most neo-pagans. The cross-quarter days were days that took place directly between the solstices and equinoxes. So this post fails miserably.

...organize on Halloween to observe satanic rituals, to cast spells, to oppose churches and families, to perform sacrilegious acts, and to even offer blood sacrifices to Satan.
Wow, that describes last Friday night for me to a T! >:-)

Well, Thomas Sanguinet does exist, evidently. (Thanks, Google!)
Here's a couple of links - one for the Christian side of it, and one from the Wicca side of it. Sorry, I'm terrible at coding, so it's cut and paste. :(

You don't know what the hell you're talking about.
Wicca is not Satanic. Wiccans do not worship Satan. Wiccans do not believe Satan exists. Wiccans do not worship "evil." Wicca is not witchcraft. Satanism is not witchcraft. You're conflating three entirely different belief systems.
Halloween is not, and has never been, Satanic. Wicca strongly condemns casting "evil" spells on people (not that it matters, since they don't work anyhow). According to Wicca, a curse will eventually return to the person who cast it.
Not all Satanists believe the same things, either.

Halloween is big business for the sellers of sweets and the makers of costumes, but I don't see anything Satanic in that.
Get a life, buddy.

How come you know so much about what Satanists and witches do? Is there something you want to tell us, Mr Jeremiah Project?
When Christians participate in Halloween, it sends a message to children that scaring away demons can be fun and entertaining, and that Jack-o-lanterns brightens up the gloomy dark autumn evenings.

II Adam
Romans 10:1-3
Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel [God's people] is, that they might be saved. [2] For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. [3] For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
People do what's comfortable and convenient. Standing for truth is neither. As my father used to say, "let your conscience be your guide". As Jesus once said in Matthew 12:30
"He that is not with me is against me;" Lastly, Joshua 24:15 "And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."

Fun Fact: The Church of Satan is actually Atheist in nature; they don't even ~believe~ in Satan as a literal being. They just use him as a symbol to troll Christians.
