(Irony Ahoy!)
Over and over our children are exposed to knowledge that they can not yet understand, thus they become mere parrots, spouting back the platitudes they have heard.

Oh, I get it. By "our children" you mean yours, not the collective whole of the country/world.
Gotcha.
In the very same post, BlessedAssurance tops itself with the line:
"Whatever happened to presenting neutral information (FACTS) and teaching children to think critically?"
...You know, I think that whooshing sound was the Point, doing a barrel roll over your head while breaking the sound barrier.
Or it's the whistling noise of air going in one ear and out the other because there's no brain left to serve as a buffer. I haven't really decided.
The irony...
THE IRONY!

Then, BlessedAssurance and everyone on Ruptured Retards, I suggest you never watch the documentary film "Jesus Camp".
If you know what's good for you.

I suggest a better picture to use would be the aftermath of Jonestown. Klingons would never commit suicide (only if they're too disabled to die in battle; only then by a friend or family member) for a reason as stupid as religious faith - mainly because the Klingons destroyed their gods (they were considered more trouble than they were worth). Only after death in glorious battle (including killing themselves to take out an enemy; the only other method of suicide permitted) will they enter Sto-Vo-Kor.

Your method, no one is told they will suffer for eternity if they don't believe in evolution, NO ONE.
Indoctrination is nearly all a Religious practice
That's why they go to school, to learn to understand that knowledge and come home smarter than when they went in the morning. Or, if homeschooled, they finish the day without learning any of the stuff that their parents don't know.and incorrect factoids are reinforced with nobody qualified to straighten them out.
Confused?
