The claim that they managed to return demonstrates that the 'annhilation' was, by no means 'complete' so you fail there.
Plus, Israel did not exist during the years of Nazi Germany, (1933-1945), so you fail there as well.
two for two, well done!

If Israel lost it's support from the west, it'd be crushed by the surrounding arab nations in no time, it's not because your sky pimp protects it, but because it is a strategic stronghold in the middle east. When it is no longer needed it will be discarded and abandoned.
Plus the nazis didn'attack Israel, you twat, it didn't simply exist until the 1950s. GODWIN FAIL

If you believe God watches over the Jews and they are still his people, why are you Christian??

One word for you: POLAND

What about Ai?
Joshua "made it an heap forever, a desolation even unto this day" but Nehemiah mentions men from Ai.

"Just ask Nazi Germany"
Ask what? Did you really think you could hold large parts of captured Europe and still take over the rest of the world? It's not the treatment of jews that defeated Hitlers Reich, he was badly outnumbered in the end.

Just occured to me that Republican America hopfully realizes that lesson in history.I don't know who said it first but this is a well known quote; "it's one thing to conquer a country, but an entirely different thing to hold it."
It was the downfall of the Romans as well

The US military is God now? :P
1/1/2009 4:38:02 PM
For people allegedly protected by an all powerful god, they sure do seem to rely on earthly heavy weaponry a lot. They've even got nukes, ffs!
1/1/2009 4:42:49 PM
I would if nazi germany was a person
1/1/2009 6:45:06 PM
a mind far far away
So, god protects the Jews. Then why in the hell are you still a christian?

Poland would like a word. Three times over.
1/2/2009 10:32:57 AM
I wonder how often the Rapture Retards mention "Germany" without the "Nazi" before.
1/2/2009 11:02:19 AM
Considering the US bombed Germany almost to dust, I think this would then equally apply to Germany.
6/18/2009 12:41:11 PM
After WWII, Germany was split into East and West Germany, and the nation of Germany could be said to no longer exist.
Later, at the end of the Cold War, Germany was united once more, returning after being broken up and destroyed.
So that's two.

>>"In the entire history of the world, only one nation has ever returned after complete annihilation: Israel. Not the Assyrians, Babylonians, Caananites, Ninevites, edomites, no one else."
Nineveh was a city in Babylon, iirc. None of those groups of people were "completely annihilated"--they were simply conquered and assimilated into whatever the dominant culture was. As for the Canaanites, they haven't gone anywhere. They were known to the Greeks as the Phoenicians and have been hanging out in the Levant since time immemorial. They probably make up most of the people that we refer to as Palestinians.

Germany was doing fairly well, before the Financial Crisis came flooding in from the country across the Atlantic. It hasn't been Nazi for several decades, granted. But the united Germany has been prosperous, and much more peaceful than Israel has been.
Has Israel been completely anihilated? When?
Did Nazi Germany attack Israel? Nope, they "just" exterminated every Jew they could find in Germany and the occupated countries. Us of A is now seemingly trying to mimic their efforts, but going after "terrorists" instead, confining them to camps indefintely, torturing them and attacking neighboring countries in the Middle East. Usama Bin Laden is Saudi Arabian, but we don't see that many attacks on Saudi Arabia, strangely enough...

Check out this post from the same thread:
"For the past several years we have all felt the rapture was very close - imminent.
But if Obama wins this election we could surely be home with God before he is innaugurated."
So, how did that work out?
7/29/2009 10:23:26 AM
- Nazi Germany who did God's work (or so they said);
- I guess the jews were feeling great when God was watching over them during the holocaust. No really much of protection but still.
- Israel didn't exist during WW2

"with a God who still watches over them and honors his covenant promises to them"
The relatives of a certain six million Jews would like a word with your God. One such question they'd probably ask him would be along the lines of 'And where were YOU when my grandparent/uncle/aunt/cousin/*relative of choice here* were being beaten, tortured, worked till they dropped, experimented upon, gassed & incinerated in Dachau/Treblinka/Sobibor/Bergen-Belsen/Auschwitz?!'
The only explanation for God not 'watching over his Chosen People', nor honouring his covenant promises to them during the Holocaust (check one):
[ ] God doesn't care about his 'Chosen People' any more (thus your country's need to give military aid to Israel today), which means he's broken said 'Covenant' to them, thus he's a hypocrite, therefore he's a contradiction to himself, ergo, God doesn't exist. QED.
[ ] God doesn't exist. Period.

Wow. Maybe if I was this stupid, I could start a church in the Buy-Bull Belt and make lots of money.
8/27/2010 3:19:38 PM
I know I've been beaten to it, but I reckon Germany and Poland come close.
8/28/2010 12:50:52 AM
As well as Byzantine Rome, which was destroyed during the crusades and then recaptured Constantinople?
3/17/2013 1:38:01 PM
Israel seems to be mimicking much of the things that the Nazis did to Jews, but aiming it towards the Palestinians instead. The Jews, if anyone, ought to have learned from history the horrors of apartheid and concentration camps. But obviously they, like so many others, have learned NOTHING from history.
