Let me explain things in a way you can understand:
Hello, I am an Atheist. I don't believe there is a god(dess), but here is a brief list of things I do believe:
The universe is vast
Aliens exist, but haven't visited
Annoying advertisements should be banned (I'm the final judge of what is annoying of course)
Buffalo Wings and SciFi go well together, so long as it's not a book
People are basically good
Ignorance and stupidity should be dealt with quickly
Knowledge and wisdom should be given freely
Code is knowledge
The goal of life is to improve yourself
That should prove to you that I believe in many things, though not all Atheists believe the same.

So how can 'Atheism' be a religion?
But if you want to classify Atheism as a 'religion, fine.
