(in response to someone asking why he should believe in the Christian God above all other religious faiths)
Everybody's God is "very real" to them, but not everybody can be right.
True. Most religions don't teach the same thing. In fact, they contradict each other often. So this means that out of the several, only ONE of them have to be telling truth. Christianity is the one.

Ask a devout Jew, Muslim, Hindu, or any other and they will tell you the same thing!!! Screaming "I'm right and you're wrong!!!" Doesn't make you any more "right."
xiao-feng-fury...this idiot never ceases to amaze me. He reaches new levels of fail with every post. First, of course all the different world religions are different, that's why they are different religions. Second, you have given no reason why christianity is THE ONE. Dumb fuck.
"only ONE of them have to be telling truth. Christianity is the one."
But which sect of Christianity in particular? Oh, yours of course. Silly me.
@Mitch
Whee non-sequiteur, fail harder.
If you're going to stagger in here and try arguing, expect people who have a basic grasp of logic to point it out when you fail at logic.
Everybody's God is "very real" to them, but not everybody can be right.
If that were true, then why not let others be happy with their "choice" of God? Why all the "our God is better than your God so you must convert or die" bullshit?
Here's the militant agnostic in me: No one will ever know for sure until they die. And that information they take with 'em!
I know (you falsely believe) that, but like the question-asker, why should we believe it? You didn't answer the question, and I think it's because you can't.
The question was why we should believe Christianity above all else, stupid.
The monotheistic ones can't all be right, but the pagan ones could all be right.
Or, ya know, they all stem from the imagination of man.
In other words, God did not create us in his image; we created him/her/them in our image.
This is why creationists always lose.
They only bother with the "what", never the "why" or the "how".
They can't all be right, but they sure as eggs can all be wrong.
Oh, and your blind assumption that christianity is THE one, without offering one shred of evidence to support it, gives you the debating skills of a rock. "Because I say so" is not a valid argument amongst adults.
Actually the major monotheistic religions all recognise the old testament as being part of their faith, and the OT doesn't set their god as the only god... Simply as the strongest. Isn't there that story of YHWH's holy thingymajig being put in a closed room with another god's thingymajig (I want to say Belial but it was a long time ago so i could be wrong here), then in the morning YHWH was the last man standing, victor and WWF world heavyweight champion.
So the monotheistic religions can be mostly true as well. We just have to assume the jews were a bit off not reocgnising jesus, the christians were a bit off not recognising mohammed and all three are potentially wrong for placing their god as the top dog when it's pretty damn obvious that Anubis is the most awesome god since sliced cheese.
Confused?
