As I wept and said to my husband " they don't know what they've done"
He held my hand and said " God is in control".
My fears are for this nation. All we can do now is pray that the precious Holy Spirit will inhabit Pesident -elect Obama. If He doesn't, well we can look up, for our redemption draweth nigh. And pray pray pray for Israel.

Ah, so that's how you're going to rationalize everything when the world doesn't end because he was elected. I see now. Very clever.
OK, so if you believe God is in control, what's the problem. Obviously Obama has been ordained by God, so STFU.
The quote is plenty fundie, but not very darned. Hell, besides the "our redemption draweth nigh" bit, I could see my rabbi saying it.
"And pray pray pray for Israel."
I'm pretty sure Israel can take care of itself. 300+ nuclear weapons and the most powerful conventional forces in the region are infinitely more effective than your prayers.
The arrogance exhibited by RR members is just astounding. I fairly familiar with the bible and for the life of me I can't remember the part where it said that only people who frequent Rapture Ready can decide wither or not someone is a christian. President Elect Obama professes to be a christian, as do the people of RR, so how is it that they expect people to take them at their word that they are christian, but to not extend the same courtesy to Obama?
At exactly what point did "god" make the members of RR beyond reproach? Their holy book tells them to "love thy neighbor as thyself" and "Do not bare false witness", neither of which do you see much of on RR. So I question their faith, as it seems they can no longer see the difference between theology and their political ideology
And pray, pray, pray for Israel.
I thought it was "Cheer, cheer, cheer for old Notre Dame."
Well, if you actually listen to Obama, you'd find out he is, in fact, a Christian.
What, claiming Jesus died for his sins isn't enough for you?
Guess what? President Obama was chosen by God and the majority of Americans, so if you've got a problem with that, you're a fucking sinner and an terrorist anti-American traitor. Deal with it or GTFO of OUR country.
@cvyr - very true, though I belive if you gave them an altas and ask them to point to Israel, they will put thier fingers on New Zealand!
Bear in mind, these are the VERY SAME people who, a week before the Election cried "God Himself will choose the right man!"
Apparently they chose the wrong god - they still have over 2500 others to choose from.
@CailinBan: I think it's something to do with the Rapture. (I know, "what isn't with these people?") Israel has to be there so that when this whole cockamamie end-times stuff starts, all the Jews on the planet will move there, at which point it'll be destroyed by God, I think. If I knew why, I'd tell you.
I was unaware of this, but did anyone else watch Bill Maher last weekend?
Apparently, the reason why so many Rapture Retards are so concerned with Israel and the Jews is that they have to be in the proper place so they can all die and bring about the End Times.
Feel the Christian love...
Whoops, didn't see your earlier comment, Romana.
If you looked at Obama's website at all during the campaign, you'd notice that it is stated very clearly that he supports Israel. Israelis may not be pleased that Obama is willing to negotiate with Iran, their enemy, but they can rest assured that Obama is not looking to nuke them. Paranoid nutjob.
Israel is doing perfectly fine, attacking and occupying its neighbor, with a little help from the US.
Most of Europe are boycotting them as much as they can, which is not easy as they hide the origin on most produce coming from Israel. Wonder why...?
If God is in control, then he put Mr Obama in that position and you should rejoice.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
