Millions of Christians have prayed... fasted, prayed... all over the U.S.... but Obama seemed, humanly speaking, to be absolutely untouchable and unstoppable. God has obviously allowed this to happen (along with Dem. majority) for a purpose.
What confounds me is all the Christians who've voted for him.

Maybe, *gasp*, Obama is the actual candidate that God supports!
Shock! Horror!
What's amazing is how close she comes to realizing it, but just doesn't make the mental leap.
There are two possible explanations:
1. God doesn't exist, or
2. God's agenda is at odds with yours.
Which do you think it is?
Because God is really supposed to be a magic genie that grants all your wishes.
These people never stopped believing in Santa, they just changed the name to Jesus.
Perhaps you've got the wrong God Ashleigh? Ever thought that maybe the reason that you're not in with the mainline Christians is because you're just wrong? Or maybe, if you could learn to think for yourself, you'd figure out that even if there is a god, which is highly unlikely, why would it care about you at all?
Aaaaaand, the Big Sky Fairy makes his appearance again. Obviously, he was on the winner's side after all (who'da thought), rather than picking the wrong horse.
He really ought to bet on the Melbourne Cup.
To quote Rupture Ready "God will make sure the right choice is made"
Perhaps you chose the wrong God - one that complies with YOUR interpretation of what is right?
Come on now, man has invented almost 3000 one-true gods over the past 10,000 years, you can soon cook up another.

Translation: Prayer works - "God listened to us! Hooray, god is great!" Prayer doesn't work - "God must have some secret plan to make things better later! Hooray, god is great!"
Confirmation bias taken to the extreme.
What confounds me is all the assholes like you, who are members of an offshoot non-Biblical death cult, and think that every Christian has to agree with you! Hello!! 95% of all Christians don't agree with you about Rapture. A larger percentage of Christians think Obama is better and voted for him, they have a right to their opinion, just like you do. LIVE WITH IT!!!
Aw come on, give Ashleigh a break! The admission that you might have voted for Obama and actually be a Christian is radical and progressive thinking by fundie standards. Ashleigh, watch out now or you might get left behind ...
I'm sure there were Christians all over the U. S. who prayed -- fasted -- prayed for Obama. See, Ashleigh, all you managed to do is confuse God, so he let the voters decide.
My dad and I are Christian and we voted for Obama. Why? For many reasons. Probably because I guess you could call us liberal/moderate Christians who are sick and tired of the fundamentalist, evangelical Christian influence on politics and of the mess that the Bush Administration has degraded this country to. Probably because we're both pro-choice and we believe in separation of church and state. Probably because we're not racist idiots who won't vote for a candidate simply because he's black. And probably because we were definitely NOT impressed by McCain and Palin.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
