I feel a little bad boiling it down to this, but he's "vainglorious" because he's a black man who's now overreached the "limits of what authority" black people should have. I imagine you'd be getting the same kind of bitching and moaning along the exact same line from these people with Hillary as the president elect. I don't know if it would be better or worse though.
It's a bit lame to do a line-by-line, but there are too many ones that are just too easy.
