(re: What if you had a gay/lesbian son/daughter..)
If he is gay, I'll get him testosterone shots.
If she is a lesbian, I'll get her estrogen shots.
Problem solved!

That's not how it works, actually.
Gay men tend to have LOTS of testosterone in their bodies - more than the average male.

"No, then the gays will just be more aggressive and want more sex."
...and, of course, have bigger, stronger muscles with which to pin down all these cowardly homophobes and break their precious butt-cherries.
*grins at the thought of the re-enactment in real life of the "love scene" from the movie Deliverance*

Hormones do not work that way!
Homosexuality sure as fuck does not work that way!
...And won't anyone think of the bisexuals? They think of (some of) you. Naked.
Homosexuals don't have any more or less hormones than straight people. If they did, wouldn't you think they'd have discovered that by now? In one case, an infant boy underwent a sex change after a botched circumcision, was raised as a girl, given female hormones beginning at puberty, and still ended up attracted to women. When his parents finally told him what had happened, he had the sex change reversed, went back to being a male and eventually married (a woman).
Gay men have just as much testosterone as straight men. If you give your son testosterone shots (i.e. steroids) you will turn him into a freak.
Lesbian women have just as much estrogen, and progesterone and lutenizing hormone etc as straight women. If you give your daughter estrogen shots you will put her at much higher risk for cancer.
Also, homosexuality is not an endocrine disorder. It's not a disease, it cannot be cured. Now, where did I put the number for child services...
I naturally produce very little testosterone, due to a medical condition. I've had regular injections of testosterone to fix this for years now. And you know what? Still gay! So apparently it doesn't work like that! Huh, who knew? Oh, right, everyone with a brain. (Oh, and if my boyfriend's sex drive is any indication, he has NO problem at all with his testosterone levels. So again, it doesn't work like that.)

Actually you are the one who seems to be in a dire need of a shot. A 12-gauge buck shot, at the crotch, to be more precise. That way the rest of humanity wouldn't have to worry about you ever reproducing and you yourself could be 100% sure that none of your offspring would ever be gay, EVER, so that way everybody's happy. Problem Solved!
ACTUALLY i have a friend who has too much testosterone in her body, and, if anything, it makes her MORE attracted to men.
You fail, Nicolae.
Speaking as a gay man who is taking supplemental testosterone shots for low testosterone levels -- trust me, your son will THANK you for those shots!
I may be 54, but I FEEL like I'm 24!
You know of course, that giving men testosterone only makes them more sexually active, right? It doesn't change the sexual orientation... So actually, you're doing a nice thing. I mean, who'd not want to be always "at ready" >:)
Confused?
