That’s how you will be voting, by influencing your husband, it would be a great incentive to encourage single women to get a husband.

I guess marrying for love is right out, eh? My wife is a lapsed Catholic...presumably she married me to gain a share in the political franchise. Whore. (I'm just kidding, honey--I love you more than life itself....well, except for cold apple pie from the fridge...and Classic Doctor Who...)
That entire thread reeks of misogyny.
Then again, Freepers have been notorious for wanting to repeal the Nineteenth Amendment. I guess helping the Party is more important than helping the citizens. The Republican Party would certainly not be adverse to repealing the Nineteenth, if they could.
Well, this is the type who voted to make it illegal for certain people to get married to people they love, so it's really not surprising they think it's hunky-dory for women to be forced into marriage if they want to vote.
Vile, but not surprising.
The statement, at least by itself, is more misogynistic than fundamentalist.
But truly, marrying JUST to have a political voice? Considering how weighty the prospect of spending the rest of your life with that same one person is, you might want a more durable foundation...
These people, in this thread, are simply ridiculous! As if we are going to overturn the 19th Amendment. That is TOTALLY Un-American! What the hell? Only white men should vote? Or "property-holders?" Yeah, let's take this country right back to slavery! jebus! Who are these f*ckwads?
That thread is disturbing, but then it's Free Republic, that famous bastion of stupidity, so I'm not surprised. It's not like they have a lot of women posting there I'd bet.
Mostly internet tough guys still living in their mamma's basements.
Or better yet, women could, you know, actually vote? Like they've been able to do since 1920?
Now that we've got that down, why don't you go jerk off with a vacuum cleaner.
Really? Because I think saying this out loud, in the real world, would be an even greater incentive to encourage single women to drive a 6-inch nail into a 2X4 and chase you with it. It's the Freeper fitness program!
Confused?
