[the day after Obama wins the election]
I had to get off talk radio and on to K-Love Christian music for the first time in a month. I was in tears on both stations though, so I didn't really come out of my bog all day. Now and then I was able to repress reality, but mostly the day felt like the day after 9/11 - I was stunned, hurt, lonely, scared, angry, you name it. I must seek peace in knowing it is all in God's plan.

You people all seem terribly emotionally fragile. You need therapy, not reinforced group-think that you get at Rapture Ready.

Now and then? Yeah, right. You post at Rapture Ready after all.
"but mostly the day felt like the day after 9/11 - I was stunned, hurt, lonely, scared, angry, you name it."
See my suggestion above.
"I must seek peace in knowing it is all in God's plan."
Ah yes, the great theist respite when things don't go the way you want. Lost your job? God's will. Someone dies suddenly? It's god's plan. How nice it must be to be so self-delusional that no matter what happens your god made it that way, even if you can't possibly conceive of how or why he would do such a thing.
"Now and then I was able to repress reality"
Well, you do have lots of practice, and are in perfect company for that...

Whhaaaaaaaaaa! So, is this what Obama's Muslim radical terrorist activity was supposed to be? Getting elected and demoralizing and terrifying innocent/ignorant young wingnuts
across the nation? Don't worry...the worst is over...it will all be okay. We promise to not put you guys in re-education camps.
Now and then I was able to repress reality,
Perhaps you should try not repressing it at all. You might actually realize where your depression comes from.
Over here, the 'bog' is slang for the toilet - the actual thing you sit on and crap in, not just the room in which it's installed.
Quite fitting really.
They're a complete bunch of useless wimps, aren't they?
I actually feel kinda bad for this retard. His delusion is destroying his life. All of the RR freaks must be having a breakdown right about now.
Then again, it's kinda funny too.
So you knew, for several months in advance, that it was virtually certain 9/11 would occur? Obama becoming President should not have been a surprise, except maybe to people who were so sure that God would stop it.
What if God's plan is to send all you hate-filled, holier-than-thou, God-bothering fundamentalists to hell for your arrogance and failure to love your neighbor as yourself? How much peace does that give you?
"mostly the day felt like the day after 9/11"
I'm sorry, who died because Obama won the Presidency? I missed that news.
"Now and then I was able to repress reality,"
Oh come on! You believe that you're going to go flying off to Heaven any minute now! You've got to be pretty good at the denying reality shit by now!
FundieFinder said "Who cries over an election?"
I remember quite a few liberals breaking down into tears over the 2004 elections. It's pretty idiotic regardless of the political leanings of the whiney crybaby. And comparing this election to 9/11 is just pathetic.
fatbuckRTO, yeah, showing strong emotions is really annoiyng, but I can respect people really caring about their values. You sound rather nihilistic if you can't even understand people feeling deeply about the state of their country.
Rokard, how is it different for Christian fundies who feel so deeply about the state of their country that they bawl their eyes out? People have vastly differing opinions on what is best for the country. What gets me, in the case of the far right or far left, is the arrogance involved in being so absolutely sure that their way is the right way that they are ashamed of or angry at those who voted for the other guy. Crying over an election is just silly. Comparing election results to a terrorist attack or denouncing half the country for daring to disagree with you on a choice for president are each just expressions of different fundamentalist approaches.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
