I was happy to see that Prop 8 was passed. As a newlywed man, the idea that homosexuals would be allowed the same rights as other human beings was sickening to me, and I personally felt the threat they pose against myself and my beautiful bride. To think that someone else could share the same loving legal rights as me...just disgusting.

...my beautiful bride.
Pics or GTFO.

@mistra:
I'm heterosexual, and I still think gay-bashing has fundamentalist elements to it. Most gay-haters use religious arguments to deny gay people rights, so they are trying to use the government to force their religion upon others, which I think is fundamentalist.
Also, this quote mos def looks like a Poe. Or maybe just straight-up sarcasm.
As a newlywed man, the idea that homosexuals would be allowed the same rights as other human beings was sickening to me
Why? Was he afraid his wife would turn into a guy, or he'd suddenly get the urge to divorce her and marry a male?
"As a newlywed man, the idea that homosexuals would be allowed the same rights as other human beings was sickening to me,"
A. What does you're being newlywed have to do with denying equal rights to others?
B. I see you are upfront about your glee at denying equal rights to others. That sickens me.
"I personally felt the threat they pose against myself and my beautiful bride."
And that threat is?
"To think that someone else could share the same loving legal rights as me...just disgusting."
You're not that special. Many other people have deep feelings of love for another person. You're just disgusting.
Wow, I couldn't have put it better (troll) Bagelfeet. Thank you.
Actually, I sense this quote spouts from one of us... anyone?
Latere in that same thread, Gabby replied to the above quote with:
"God is the one who established the rules on marriage. We, as a Judeo/Christian nation, simply follow them."
Unlike Bagelfeet, Gabby isn't an example of Poe's Law....
So there are trolls on RR too, huh? glad to see they have them too...
Also: I don't believe you have a wife, enjoy your hand.
Blatant troll
But I raged 6/10
*Cheers on the Poe*
Go Go Poe! Go Go Poe!
These people are idiots.

So if a democratic vote favored the reinstatement of slavery for blacks, they wouldn't have lost any rights because their "right" to be free and equal was not the will of the people? Rights are not determined by the majority.

You want to take the right to marry from EVERYONE but you? Now that's a new one! But nah, this is probably a troll.
Confused?
