You just disproved your own point!! You just showed that you can add energy to create complexity, but after so long things will get disordered again!

There is no mechanism that shows us that DNA can evolve
Ever hear of genetic mutation? Natural selection?
Conclusion... Entropy is eventually closing in on all of us. The Universe tells us this! It is steadily loosing gas. This means less stars are being born and eventually the lights will all go out.
The large-scale, long-term consequences of the universe eventually "running down" have nothing to do with biological evolution.

People without an undergraduate education in thermodynamics, as the barest minimum, shouldn't try to use the second law of thermodynamics. They always fuck it up.

I truthfully don't think you people (evolutionists) are thinking logically here at all.
Ironic, since you're obviously not thinking, period.

Anita, I don't think you understand what logic is at all.
"Conclusion... Entropy is eventually closing in on all of us. The Universe tells us this! It is steadily loosing gas. This means less stars are being born and eventually the lights will all go out."
That may be the fate of the universe. Just because you find something uncomfortable to contemplate doesn't make it any less true.
"All these little technicalities concerning entropy or the labeled 2nd law of thermodynamics are just inconsistencies that serve for nothing. It serves no purpose in arguing about these technicalities especially when one opens their eyes and truly LOOKS - our resources are diminishing."
Even if true (and it's not) it is irrelevant. Just because resources might be diminishing or changing, that has no bearing on whether the ToE is true or not.

How does "the sun is going to eventually run outta gas" translate into "therefore, DNA can never gain information"?

Whenever a fundie comes up with a "hole" or "flaw" in an established scientific fact, it inevitably turns out to be a) a straw man, or b) something already answered by current scientific knowledge.
I believe what Anita refers to is called "heat death", the idea that all energy in the universe will eventually become useless heat. This is the logical conclusion according to the second law of thermodynamics. But it won't happen for a
*very*
long time.

So what do you call all that energy that the Sun is throwing at us all day long? Yes, eventually the sun will burn out. But as long as it is going the Earth is not a closed system, energy is constantly being intorduced.

Besides all the usual "I'm right because I'm a christian and you're wrong because you're not" bullshit, I still can't figure out the how's and why's of fundies thinking that there is this sacred bond between biology and astronomy/cosmology. What in the hell does ANY of this have to do with the ToE? Entropy, nothing. Physics, nothing. Astronomy, nothing. Anita, read a fucking book OTHER than the bible.

About 10^92 years, according to this book I've been reading by some "doctor" named Phil... Plenty of time for the universe to keep on keeping on. Maybe not so much time for Anita to figure it all out.

People without an undergraduate education in thermodynamics, as the barest minimum, shouldn't try to use the second law of thermodynamics. They always fuck it up.
This.
The second law of thermodynamics, when applied at a molecular level, is quite nontrivial. It generally doesn't mean what you think it means.
It sure as hell doesn't have anything to do with "thrusting energy".

DNA mutation isn't something the creature deliberately tries to do. In fact, it has so many mechanisms in place to try and stop it that one would think it takes energy to stop mutation from happening, not the other way around!

For one thing, what happens to a pen when you throw it up into the air? Yes it has all this great trusted energy as its going up, but than it eventually comes crashing down.
So gravity disproves evolution? Then again, it doesn't matter, since gravity, like evolution, is just a theory.

For one thing, what happens to a person when they're conceived? Yes it has all this great organization as it grows from a single cell to a baby to an adult, but then it eventually dies and rots and goes back into the minerals and water from which it was made.
