The Boys is rather name comapred to Preacher, but both are really good. I've had the privlege of meeting Mr. Ennis on serveral occasion, and I must say, if he's a demon then he's a damn talented demon. Also Just because some idiot like you (Who's probably never done more than flip through one of his books) says that something is "Pure, absolute evil" that in no way makes it so, And just as you are entitled to your own opinion, you are not entitled to have any say in what others enjoy.

Nothing like an insane reaction to something to make the sales go through the roof.
When will you people learn? Banning something, condemning it from the pulpit or simply labeling it "evil" will drive the demand from the general populace way up.

So--he seeks out people who praise gory comics just so he can SCREAM ABOUT HOW HORRIBLE THEY ARE, and he thinks he's entitled to complain about their "undeterred fascination with pure, absolute evil?"
If you're not fascinated by it yourself, C_Hunter, then why do you seek it out? I didn't even know this comic existed until I read this FSTDT post.

I personally hate The Boys, but I like other stuff that Ennis has written, particularly his run on Hellblazer and the Preacher series. If you don't like Ennis' writing, don't read it--same as I do with Frank Miller's shit. I don't like Miller's writing, so I haven't read anything he wrote after The Dark Knight Returns.
I have read The Boys, and while it's okay, not my cuppa (I get it, Garth hates superheroes and hasn't heard that they've been deconstructed to death since the publication of "Superfolks".), I also have the ability to not be affected by what I read, especially if what I read is obvious fiction.
I suggest you try discerning reality from fiction. It'll help you immensely in life.
