The [Unitarian Universalist Association] is a pagan cult and a “church” for revisionist homosexuals. In their bazaaro world the sin of Sodom was unhospitality.

Funnily enough, that's what it says in the Bible, too. Say, why don't you read it, and find out?
Also ... anything cool for sale in that bazaar?
Pagan cult, right. I guess that rot about tolerance, understanding, having patience and loving your neighbor definitely wouldn't have been something Christ would do.
"In their bazaaro world the sin of Sodom was unhospitality."
No. Fucking. Shit. Probably because that's what it says you moron.
Try opening and reading your Babble once or twice. You'll get more out of it if you do that rather than just carrying the damned thing around so you can look all pious.
Might I suggest you pay particular attention to all those red words in the NT. Especially the Sermon on the Mount.
That WAS the sin of Sodom according to the Bible.
I swear, Christianity still hasn't recovered from the Puritans...
Hate to break it to you, bucko, but they're right. The townsfolk didn't want to rape the angels because they thought they were hot, they wanted to rape them (as most rapists do, by the way) to degrade them, and then likely kill them.
What does 'bazaaro' mean?
And yes, inhospitality, that's what it says in my Bible. which one are you reading?
Let's put that to the test, shall we? Our sample will be my Facebook friends. I have two friends that I know of who are gay. One is Jewish, one is United Church of Christ. I have a Unitarian friend. He's been married for years, and has a daughter. Statisticians might call it a small sample, but you still fail.
Things I have learned about Clint from this post:
1. He doesn't realize that a politically-related username will, eventually, be laughably out of date. Dirty Willy has been out of office, and out of the spotlight, for almost a decade now.
2. He does not know the meaning of the word "cult."
3. He thinks that homosexuality is a primary reason for the foundation of the UUC, which it isn't.
4. He never actually read the story of Sodom and Gomorrah, he just heard somebody say it was about homosexuality and assumed that other person was right.
5. He cannot spell the word "bizarre" or its derivative, "bizarro." Either that, or he thinks that the word "bizarro" was derived from the word "bazaar" for some idiotic reason. What the hell does being weird have to do with a flea market, Clint?

Ezekiel 16:49
This was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness ... neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
read the fucking bible, read it! stop fucking shoe-horning your wrong beliefs on to the text!
it says nothing about homosexuality, that's just a lie.
it does say the sin of sodom wasn't any one thing but inhospitably plus all kinds of things that intails
As a UU, I'd like to say "Up Urz!," but...
It all reminds me of one of my grandfather's favorite put-downs:
"I wouldn't piss up his butt if his guts were on fire!"
c'mon guys, leave clint alone. we all no good and well he doesn't need to actually read the bible to be right about his assumptions on what it says, that's the tru xtian way. he would be blaspheming if he did crack the thing open, even every once in awhile.....
Ezekiel 16:49: Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
Yes, a church that uses the bible to back up their beliefs. How bizarre.
In that case, the Rapturists are a Heaven's Gate-style Death Cult*, and Ted Faggard proves that ALL right-wing fundies are homosexuals.
Your point?
*- And they are as near as dammit, as proved by Ruptured Retards.
Pagan cult? They say that they are based on Christianity. Revisionistic homosexuals? What kind of history are they trying to revise, and is it due to their homosexuality?
Acording to Wikipedia, quoting the Bible:
"Sodom never did what you [the town of Jerusalem] and your daughters have done. She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy. They were haughty and did detestable things before me."
The mention of her and her daughters are metaphors for town and inhabitants. Not the women in particular, of course. But I guess that with these fundies you need to spell it out.
Hm, who can we think of today, that are "arrogant, overfed and unconcerned".
Ezekiel 16:49:
Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
Yes. Some bizarre book this bible is. But then again I always felt that way.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
