Hm...there's something underhanded about this post, I just can't put my finger on it...
"I don't think that preaching the Living Word of God is hate" Depends on how you go about it. Shoving it down people's throats who've heard it a million times already, and rejected it a million times, is pretty hateful. But to offer it once to someone who hasn't heard, and then just leave it alone, that seems alright.
"and I also don't think that saying "homosexuality is wrong" leads to hate crimes" Again, thinking that homosexuality is wrong doesn't lead necessarily lead to hate crimes. But it plants the seed mentally that eventually will lead someone to perform hate crimes.
"Hate leads to hate crimes" This might be oversimplifying the matter, but is essentially true. The problem comes from most fundies not knowing the difference between love and hate.
"We have freedom of speech in this country" Do you recognize that for only your particular brand of fundamentalist christianity? Or do you realize that this is for all people, of any religious or sexual persuasion?
"In the true spirit of America: If you don't like what you hear or see, don't listen or look!" Again, are you applying this to only yourself and others of your religion, or to all Americans?
I bet this person is one of the ones who starts all their posts about homosexuality with "Let me say first that I don't hate homosexuals, I love all people. But let me tell you why homosexuals are sick and ruining our country".
