[A comment on the Smithsonian magazine website about the Gobekli Tepe archeological find documented on the site, which is thought to be the world's oldest known temple, estimated 11,000 years old.]
"Seems to me like the Bible is correct after all. If Noah's ark landed in the Mountains of Turkey and Russia, then Noah would have built a temple for him and his family to offer sacrifices to God"

What happened to Earth being 6000 year old?
Also the site has a shitload of Armenians going BAWWWWW over history and claiming it to be an armenian temple, even though the temple predated any nationality of caucasia.
The moment you said "IF Noah's ark,,,,," you relegated your argument to pure speculation.
Having seen some of the photos of the site, I can totally believe it was built by 4 men and 4 women,,,,NOT!
There's a Giant Temple in Salt lake City. Seems to me like the Bible is correct after all, maybe that's where Noah landed and built a temple.
After all, off by 6 thousand miles is closer than off by 7 thousand years.
No look, if this temple appears to be 11,000 years old, that's 5,000 years older than the universe itself, right? Therefore it must have been built by God during the week of creation, looking a lot older than it actually was. No big deal, after all on the third day God made a whole load of trees that would have looked hundreds of years old, despite the fact there hadn't been hundreds of years, or indeed days. Being of divine origin, this temple was able to miraculously survive the Flood (which creationists date at around 2500 BC) and be all ready waiting for Noah and family when they landed.
I don't know why anyone should find this so hard to believe. The other possibility is that the Smithsonian Magazine has got the date wrong. Highly probable, they're all trained academics there, which being interpreted means unAmerican, Obama-worshipping, baby-murdering, god-hating homosexuals.

Seems to me that Noah and company might have...I don't know...started finding food and building a place to live. Plus, they had to scoop away the tons of s*** that prevented the animals from getting out the door.
Bible math is not dependent on facts or logic.
Teh universe is only 6000 years old in spite of the findings of the Hubble Space telescope - the pics make pretty screen savers for teh fundies but that is about all.
No, you've got it all wrong people
Noah landed in the Mountain of Turkey and russia, found the temple containing a time machine, traveled back before the creation of the universe to build the temple. Then he used a time loop to create a duplicate time machine, which he placed in the temple, before traveling back to his own time, to find the temple as he build it, with the time machine inside.
It's all really simple.
Yes Dan that is what the Bible says
Genesis
8:19 Every beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl, and whatsoever creepeth upon the earth, after their kinds, went forth out of the ark.
8:20 And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
Wow, this is full of BIBLICAL fail, and I don't know where to start. Let's see. The bible says the MOUNTAINS of Ararat, which are not in Russia, but Turkey only. The bible says nothing about Noah building a temple. And I thought fundies believed the earth was, at the oldest, 10,000 years old, but this temple is 11,000, which would make the biblical account of 'creation' around 13,000. Wow. This guy is an idiot, even by his own religions standards.
@Exmuslim Turk
I think the official estimate has changed to between 6,000 - 10,000 years old. Just so they can have a wide berth if anything doesn't quite fit their 6,000 year old model.
Though I can't wait for them to start spouting, "They only estimated it at 11,000 years old. It still fits inside our model of creation, because an estimate could be wrong."
Although this still fails to take into account the amount of time it would have taken to build the temple so the civilization building it would have to be even older.
Well, I don't know about you guys but, if I'd just spent over a month on a barge stuffed full of animals and only one window in an age with no concept of sanitation, medicine or food preservation, I'd certainly be bursting with energy to build a temple.
Oh, wait, no I wouldn't - I'd most likely be malnourished, ill, exhausted, feeling like shit and probably covered with it. I also wouldn't waste my time building a pointless religious structure when my people would need food and shelter, and all the farmland on the surface of the earth had just been destroyed by floods.
Confused?
