Consider this, moron: Before feminism ruined things, a husband could support his family, so he paid for the wife’s medical expenses. This is only an issue because you assholes have driven a wedge between men and women; divide and conquer is the old commie strategy. You leftie women want to be independent, fine; just pay for what you use, and quit whining.

You still can do that, if that's the way the members of your household want it. There's nothing stopping the husband being the breadwinner and paying his wife's medical bills if that's what both the husband and wife want.

I don't understand. People who want to be independent are already prepared to pay their own way.
I may be the only one amused by it, but I chuckled at "divide and conquer is the old commie strategy". Because, you know, those communists. Always wanting people to be divided up into different groups. You know, we could even call them "classes" of people. Wait.
Aside from that, evidently Robert lives in a world where before feminism, nobody was ever too poor to get medical treatment.
...except that most of feminist ideology isn't to blame. It is the application of extremist elements that is to blame. Of course, your ideal of absolute patriarchy isn't viable, either.
It's an issue because when we tried to equalise the sexes in society, we didn't ensure that the laws are only enforceable in a gender-neutral manner, which is what we need to do.
Instead we in many cases just reversed the roles of oppressor and oppressed (family law in most states being a good example).
Denying anyone rights, and reverse discrimination--in this case being a case of the Law of Unintended Consequences won't solve the problem--it will just shift it around like a well-executed game of Three-Card Monte.
Your idea of the man as the head of the household has its own set of problems--what was it about the plank in the eye?

It ain't the 1950's anymore. The average single wage earner family can't live a middle class lifestyle. And a lot of people can't pay $1,000 a month for family medical insurance. That's almost 1/3 the take-home pay of the average single wage earner. Welcome to the 21st century.

Um, feminists oppose creating arbitrary gender classifications. It's you conservatives who think they belong.
Please try to keep up, or at the very least, stop trying to argue things you don't understand.
Not clearly fundie per se . Might be one but without the Bible-bashing, God-bothering platitudes we can't say for certain.
I propose fstdt.com needs two new categories. Homophobes Say the Darndest Things and Misogynists Say the Darndest Things.
"divide and conquer is the old commie strategy."
Not really. But, regardless, the Republicans seem to pull it off better anyway.
As for the rest of his rantings and ravings against the evils of feminism versus "the good ol' days"......typical.
[As for potential new wings for fstdt.com...I'd suggest making "rstdt" into "Bigots say the darndest things" and "ctstdt" into "Nutjobs say the darndest things". That way, the other sections of the site are more broad, allowing any form on secular hatred to be filed away into "bstdt" and any form of entertaining insanity to be put into "njstdt", instead of just racial hatred and elaborate, paranoid, counterfactual scenarios respectively.]
Before feminism:
men could beat their wives
men could rape their wives
men could get a wife pregnant against her wishes
men could deny medical help to a wife
men owned all property
men had exclusive access to bank accounts
I pay for what I use. And I do it happily. As for shutting up, not a chance.
Even in the 1950s, that dream ere you fap about, 70% of women were in the workforce at some point in their life. Either they were single, or they were poor and had to assist in helping the family.
My mother was a school teacher in the 50's while my father drove truck.
Oh, and medical expenses? My brother had his tonsils out because my sister had tonsillitis. The doctor made a 2-for-1 deal. My father went in for a gallbladder removal and the doctor took out his appendix to save him some money.
What is with this meme that feminism stopped men being the sole breadwinner? It didn't - it just made it optional so that being a housewife wasn't the only thing women could do. Unsurprisingly, it hasn't stopped people getting married.
Actually, if I read between the lines of Robert's whining, it's less to do with the evils 'o feminism and more that he hates that those bitches won't conform to a single rigid role like he thinks they should.
I second Allegory for Jesus's proposal to make a BSTDT.
My father is the breadwinner of our family. But my mother has a part-time job and she is definitely not your brainwashed fundie housewife. And as a matter of fact, my father repeatedly implored her to find a job and work, even though he already making money.
The only ones who drive a wedge between men and women are idiots like you who insist on highlighting our differences and making up more differences to further divide us. For your information, independent women DO pay for themselves, just like men do. YOU shut up and stop whining, you ignorant, misogynistic scumbag.
JuleBud75: Major Minor is the submitter, not the OP.
And the only thing feminism "ruined" was a man's right to treat his wife like property. Boo fucking hoo.

My grandmother worked in the hardware store she owned jointly with my grandfather. My other grandmother helped in the fields. My mother did bookkeeping for extra money.
I don't know what tract/preacher/TV show you get your history from, but it has lied to you. Women have been working outside the kitchen for generations. Feminism is about recognizing and respecting that fact. Your screed, far from damning feminism, illustrates how much it is needed.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
