Yeah, the loss of freedoms bothers me too. All this faith-based initiative crap, and the patriot act, and wiretapping on a whim, and the complete disappearance of the fourth ammendment in the name of a war on drugs.

It's really the most incredible thing, to watch an American accuse his government of being socialist. To top it off, apparently the separation of church and state gives you less freedom. I'm really not sure how that works. 0.o
