Should I kick my gay son out of the house?
I have a 13 year old son that used to be a great kid. Unfortunately, I think some liberal teachers must've got to him in school and I recently caught him kissing another boy.
The Bible is pretty clear about this sort of thing. My son threatens the salvation of everybody in the house. I don't wan't to kick him out, but I also don't want to lose my chance at eternal paradise just to keep him around.
Is there a compassionate way of telling my son that I never want to see him again because I want to go to heaven? Or would compassion be a sin, afterall, he is a sinner. In the Bible, Lot's wife was turned into a pillar of salt for looking back at God's utter destruction of Sodom. I don't want to turn into a pillar of salt or go to hell.

Meh, another poe trying to make a 'point', he even admits it.
Am I the only person who doesn't see the appeal in pretending to be a fundie?
My son threatens the salvation of everybody in the house
What kind of bizarre theology is this? Does he think God near-sighted or something? Does God just indiscriminately punish everybody who happens to be in the same building? The Bible says working on the Sabbath is worse than homosexuality. If you work on the Sabbath, should he say he never wants to see you again so that he doesn't go to hell?
So you aren't even concerned about your son's eternal life, you just don't want to go to hell by association? Wow. This is where I'd normally call you an asshole, but I read down and apparently you're a poe. You know, it's just all the more confusing for those who like to laugh at fundies.
Poe, of course; if it wasn't they wouldn't be asking.
And this isn't something to be joking about, as has been said.
There's some fundie in the replies, though, oi.
@Jay-Sus: "Obvious Poe is obvious. All quotes like this are a Poe."
Which of these are Poes?
"It is not easy to conduct homosexual affairs, he admits. Home is out of the question."
"If my father were to find me, he’d kick me out of the house," Daud says.
"So, for the sack of our children, should I kick my husband out of the house because he smokes just the same way I should kick a homosexual out of my house!?"
"Well, my husband wants to kick him out of the house because he's worried that our son will influence the other children to become homosexual"
"Alex McCoy can't tell his parents he's gay. They'd kick him out of the house. His mother has made it clear."
"If one of my kids comes home and declares they are gay
..well good for them. I will reserve the right to kick them out of the house, make fun of them and not talk to them anymore"
Hint: none of them. They're all from legitimate articles or discussions on the difficulties of being gay. Reread the definition of "Poe". If it's obvious , then it's not a Poe; it's satire.
I have just one question to ask that hasn't been already: HOW did THIS quote manage to collect only a 3.6 on the scale?
EDIT: Yeah, it's a Poe. St00pid P0es.
Can ppl please stop bringing them around here?
...you think if you let your SON...I repeat YOUR SON in your house...you will turn into a pillar of salt...
Someone call the little short men in the little white coats! They need to take her away..ho ho, he he ha ha
You obviously haven't read what Jesus said about forgiving -something about seventy-times seventy, which is an idiom for endlessly.
It is also clear that you so-called love for your son pales in comparison to your brainwashing by your pastor.
If you throw your son out you will be responsible before your god for whatever the consequences may be.
Besides, it's probably illegal to do so. He is a minor and remains your responsibility legally, you ignorant shite!
Also, you are no true father. A true father would embrace his son and tell him that no matter what, he loved him and always would. That's what god does every time you commit sin... or so you believe. Can you do differently?
He kissed a boy? You are done, Robert, my friend. I can smell the hellfire and brimstone already. Nothing you can do about it. You're going to burn.
Ask for some gravy when you're extra crispy. It helps.
poe, Poe, POE. Damnit people! Quit submitting things that are so obviously poe.
Don't blame the submitters for the Poes, blame the people who approve them.
I blame both of them.

Should I kick my gay ass out of the house?
I have a 13 year old ass that used to be a great ass . Unfortunately, I think some liberal teachers must've got to him in school and I recently caught him kissing another ass .
The bible is pretty clear about this sort of thing. My ass threatens the salvation of everybody in the house. I don't want to kick it out, but I also don't want to lose my chance at eternal paradise just to keep it around.
Is there a compassionate way of telling my ass that I never want to see it again because I want to go to heaven? Or would compassion be a sin, afterall, it is a sinner. In the bible, Lot's ass was turned int a pillar of salt for looking back at god's utter destruction of Sodom. I don't want to turn into a pillar of salt or go to hell.
I just wanted to see what that would look like. It makes just as much sense, if not more.
Dear, you never understood the concept of SIN, which implies free will, of the person who does the sin, not the relatives. And of course, you don't know the meaning of unconditional love.
No, you have mandatory responsibility for him, at least until he turns 18 (or whatever the age of legal adulthood is where you live).
It has nothing to do with Liberalism, he was born that way.
I'd guess you are against abortions, but kicking your child out of the house is fine and dandy.
No, there isn't. Never wanting to see your son IS NOT compassionate, in any way.
Most parents I know would do anything and everything for the wellfare of their kids. Including dying to save the kids' lives.
"Should I kick my gay son out of the house?"
I wouldn't, but I'd kick you in the nuts! , Bobby-boy. [/Cartman] >:D X3
Is there a compassionate way of telling my son that I never want to see him again..."
Read that again, then slap yourself, hard, for asking such a dumb-ass question.
"...because I want to go to heaven."
Nope, too bad about that. Abandon your child (and at 13 he is a CHILD, not even close to being an adult) and realize that god has already scratched off your name just for having such an unworthy thought. God is pissed at you, and I'm not too crazy about you myself.
Confused?
