If there were no God, no Christianity, I can only imagine a world full of people who don't spout hate and pronounce moral judgment on everyone else. This place would be a virtual Paradise.
One of us is right here. Guess which one of us has proof?
Go to India then. They have any number of gods and goddesses for you. The Hindu tradition is much older than the Abrahamic, and even with their large selection of gods, they manage to get along well anyway...with the Brahmins and Buddhists as well. Bom Shiva!
ahhh, Imagine no religion!
and improved Civil rights and Worker Rights!!!
That would be less of a living hell, then the one we are in right now that is christian-based.
Go fuck off CJL
There is no God, Christianity is false and the world is full of very selfish, non-caring people as it stands. Calling it a "living hell" is a little melodramatic though. Find a way to make it OK, and move on with your life.
You raptards are trying very hard to make this place a living hell as it is. It has nothing to do with us.
Why do you need god and the fear of eternal punishment to be a caring person? What the fuck kind of logic is that?
But we have many caring people in the world so by contradiction, god must exist. I mean, unless there is some faulty assumption like your imagination does not dictate reality, but really, what are the odds of that?
Mohandas Gandhi: “I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.”
Yup, that Mohandas was a really selfish non-caring person...
Did you know that he was murdered because of his tolerance towards Muslims? Stupid me, you probably didn't even know he was murdered.
Indeed, you're right, it IS a living hell, because as we know, every single atheist is a wife-beating, book-burning fanatic who enjoys perverting young choirboys...
If there were no God, no Christianity, I can only imagine a world that would be a thousand years more advanced than this one. Not to mention more peaceful, considering how many wars are fought in the name of God.
Not really my idea of a living hell, especially as so many theists' idea of "caring" makes hell look tame by comparison.
"You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one"
That song, Imagine by John Lennon, scares the fuck out of them. Their preachers demonize it and have since the beginning because it is counter religious, yes, but justifiably so. I have often wondered how many start thinking and walk from religion due to the ideas planted by that (and other songs or books) more than sciences or philosophies. It's in the fact that music and books point out the absurdities and failed claims of religion more than the other fields.
There ARE polite, charitable, fair and free cultures that have never adopted Christianity, now and throughout history. The less Christian a culture in the western world (the body long infected by the Bible) the more just, fair, crime reduced and freer of social ills they are. Studies have shown that Christian in the South (the Rapture crowd) are of the lowest for charity and that's with factoring in the fact they think giving to the church is charity.
Confused?
