Quote# 52541

[. . .] I find it ironic that darwinians are now backing off of evolution and pointing to a greater intelligence. Instead of pointing to God...they are pointing to intelligence on other planets. Who put that intelligence there? They say darwinianism started there...but no proof whatsoever...just empty faith.

What the fuck are you babbling about?

11/20/2008 2:04:25 AM

Caretaker

...I believe dear 'webdog' has confused "darwinians" with "Scientologists".

webdog is referring to an out-of-context soundbite from Richard Dawkins in the movie Expelled, in which the film's editors made it sound like Dawkins believed that life on Earth was started by space aliens.

...but no proof whatsoever...just empty faith.

...And there goes the irony meter.

We are?

Dark_Lord_Prime

"Darwinians?"

"Darwinianism?"

WTF is it with you people and making up words that you apparently think make people you disagree with sound like some sort of religious cult? o_O

Nowonmai

What 'darwinians', other than the ones in your fertile imagination, are point to something else? Try to make sense next time, ok?

We're doing what?!?

Um. How many evolutionists are going ID? I can't imagine the proportion is so enormous as to say all (or even many) of them are as you have suggested.

Other planets? Eh, do scientologists (Don't confuse our cult-atheist-devil-worldly science with scientology, neither has anything to do with the other) even roll with evolution?

Allegory for Jesus

"Instead of pointing to God...they are pointing to intelligence on other planets."

Yeah.....no. No they are not.

a mind far far away

WTF and citation needed. No respected scientist is even suggesting such a thing. New agers and conspriacy theorists are, however. There's no proof that there is even intelligent life on other planets. That doesn't mean there isn't, just that we haven't found it yet. This is nothing but fundy BS going into outer space. It's still wrong, and it's still BS. Just because you believe in fairy tales doesn't mean rational people do or should.

You sir are an idiot.

I was pointing at that brunette across the street. Why boys leave home!

Who put that intelligence there?
A creationist attacking intelligent design for not being able to explain where the higher power came from? IRONY!

HeathenAngel

Where the fuck is this going on? I know of no "darwinians"... whatever the hell that is that are "pointing to a greater intelligence"... whether it be extraterrestrial or supernatural.

If we're backing off evolution then why are we calling the process Darwinian?

Darwinians? Is that like the "ballchinians" from MIB2?

11/20/2008 3:15:57 AM

And I find it ironic that the fundies don't believe that the 9th commandment applies to them. I have no idea what a "darwinian" is, but I know very few people, who believe in evolution, that believe that it was started by a higher intelligence from another planet outside of the "science fiction" community. I think you have watched too many Dr. Who's" or maybe seen "2001" too often.

So now it is darwinianism instead of darwinism? Man, I really need to update my list of fake words.
