My 6 year old daughter just woke up from a dream - and she was scared. I asked her what her dream was about - and she said that in her dream - she saw a huge, bright light above me...so bright that she couldn't even look at me - and then, all of a sudden, I disappeared.

Y'know what that sounds like? It sounds like a nuclear explosion happening above/behind you, followed by your prompt "disappearance."

Also, your six-year-old daughter had just dreamed that one of her parents had disappeared right in front of her. Of course it scared her.

See, there's this thing called a nightmare. Kids have 'em. A lot. Especially young kids, like 6 year olds. However, even though I know she's not, I hope she is prophetic - I really want you to magically disappear so that someone with a bit of reality in their mind can be the one to raise her.
Nightmares, I hear young kids have them, even adults do too. They're a common thing when we sleep, like dreaming, but they're scary. You should try using common sense instead of fairy tale logic.
I don't recall ever having a nightmare of my mother disappearing while a child, but I did have a dream that a big green monster was coming after me and I couldn't find her. (I was also, I believe, 6 at the time.)
I woke up calling for her and got to spend the rest of the night in my parents' bed. Hopefully, you similarly comforted your child instead of just confirming her fears by blabbering on about The Rapture.
And I totally agree with anonymous : probably just a rational fear of disappearing brought on by all of your irrational beliefs.

I had a dream once that I had to fight a giant mechanical octopus. Lo, I summoned forth a mechanical anglerfish that shot lasers from its head. Then I went and ate ice cream with Sherlock Holmes.

Well, it's obvious, your daughter is A WITCH!! Send her to Nigeria, they know how to deal with child Witches there.
I would've written what the second person did. They managed to provide a reasonable message, and then probably added the second one as a joke (I would've).
Your daughter did not dream of getting raptured herself, and that means she is not saved. No matter what she tells you, after your beatings, that she submits 100% to Jesus, she's still holding something back. Either increase the frequency and severity of your punishments, or let someone else raise her who doesn't believe in demons, and will comfort her after a nightmare by telling her it's not real. You'll probably guess that I'm leaning towards option #2.
I suggest that you immediately get an exorcist and put your daughter through a 3 day exorcism because she didnt dream about herself rising up in the glory with her mom..
..thats the only sane thing you can do for her...

Stupid bitch, dancing over your child's fear of losing you is nothing to be happy about. In that dream, YOU were getting raptured and going to Heaven, while your daughter stood and watched you leave her.

As for Barachem, he/she is clearly nothing more than a pseudo dream interpreter who probably gets personal gratification from invoking fear in his/her peers.
It's common enough for young children to have dreams where their mothers disappear, because for children that young it's a very real fear. I remember when I was very small I had a dream where I saw my mother wearing a mask, and when I took it off there was another one under it, and so on. I woke up scared too. Don't worry about it, she'll grow out of it.
