Fact is, they need to be taught that suffering in the name of the Lord is an honor unto itself. And the rewards are much greater than anything we can fathom. But, no need to bring this type of discussion to little kids....or at least....not until they are old enough to understand the dire consequences of rebellion against God in the soon coming future. I didn't start this discussion with my kids until, either they asked, or they were old enough to not go into immediate depression....say 16 or so...
