I can guarantee you that you can find a correlation between child molesters and Christians simply because of the sheer volume of Christians that exist. Does this mean that Christianity causes pedophilia?
Of course, if a male adult molests a male child, he is technically a homosexual, just as a male adult molesting a female child is a heterosexual. But does their sexual preference towards gender cause their proclivities towards people too damned young to consent? Clearly not. So perhaps you'd better find another way to attempt your attack on homosexuality.

Wrong. The majority of child molesters are heterosexual. That certainly doesn't mean that all heterosexuals are child molesters, nor would it mean that all gays are pedophiles if the majority were homosexual. Pedophilia has nothing to do with a person's sexual orientation -- it's a mental illness in itself, completely separate from whichever gender the abuser is attracted to.
As for spreading disease, again the majority of transmissions are done through heterosexual sex, usually passed from male to female. While it may be true that HIV started amongst the gay population, numerous STDs began amongst straights, such as syphilis, herpes, etc. You can't blame all gays for HIV. For one thing, the people who originally contracted it didn't do so on purpose. Plus, the majority of gays don't have HIV.
I don't need the bible in order to care about other human beings -- my own conscience is enough to push me to defend homosexuals against bigots like you.

No, all legitimate studies show that people who are attracted to adults of the same sex are no more likely to be pedophiles than straight people. The largest group of pedophiles, and the worst offenders, are what shrinks call "fixated"; they are attracted only to children. They're neither gay nor straight because they have no adult sexual orientation. It's true that many child molesters target boys, but they are almost always either "fixated" or heterosexual in their adult relationships. They target boys because parents tend to be less protective of boys and they're "easier" victims.

The phrase "statistically proven" is an oxymoron. A hypothesis can't be statistically proven, only accepted to a given confidence level. However, it *sounds* more impressive than "something I just pulled out of thin air to support the current argument", which is what it's code for in fundie circles. Don't expect any citations of actual studies from the peer-reviewed literature, or even for it to necessarily agree with other statements by the same person.
